Rather than offering a pittance off of new games, this event would have been better if they'd managed to get a hold of some slightly-older games (say, a month or two-- things outside of their "new car smell" phase), and offer them for 50% off. Or offer GameCubes for $24 like every other company has seemed to be able to do over time.

What a missed opportunity for some serious deals.
 
Day 5

COD5, Resistance 2, Star Wars Clone Wars, Mortal Combat, Prince of Persia, Shaun White Snowboarding.

Deal started with meh and ends with meh.

On the side bar, PS3 160GB bundle with Uncharted, bluray remote, hdmi cable is listed at $525, $34 off $559. I wonder Canadian MSRP would be same at $499 at the release (Nov 30th) due to the currency trend.
 
I think it will probably have to be because the 160 doesn't offer more than $100 of extra value above the 80GB, IMO.

The best deal during this sale was probably Banjo. I almost bought it... looked at the videos online, and it looks pretty decent. But if I want a platformer, I still have a lot of Mario Sunshine to play.
 
I want to buy Gears of War 2 from BB but i also ordered one from Dell, anyone know if i will be able to return my Dell copy to BB once it comes ?

gamer602 has mentioned it before but i wanted to know specifically for BB because i want the keychain and bottleopener. Or do you think its better just to do it at Walmart ?

i see no reason why that wouldn't work as long as the game is sealed, the same version (SE or regular) and you have the bb receipt.

I just did that with Fallout from Amazon and FS. There were no problems whatsoever, even though the Amazon version didn't have the French manual attached to it.

I just received one for Fallout 3. I'm kind of relieved, since I'm still chipping away at Fable 2, but I'm also surprised. I've had no delays with new release games from Dell in the past.

I got the email Yesterday. Guess this gives me time to finish Resistance 2 and actually play Far Cry 2. Now if only I wasn't stuck at the office.

As did I. I wasn't expecting it till next week as it gets released on Tuesday. I wonder if they had the wrong release date or are just doing a preemptive strike.
