Saw this today at my local store. TIVs get bumped by 20% if you trade in towards a Batman pre-order. Not sure what happens if your total value is more than $69.99. Not as good as T3G1F but if you have a high value game it might be useful.
Question:
If you have a $7, with 20% more it becomes over $8. Could you use it for T3?
that's the only thing that would make this a deal.

No. You can't combine two promotions, unfortunately.

Can you trade towards the CE?

That'd be handy if you had some high value games and traded towards that. Hellooooooooooo batarang

I'm almost sad my pre-order is already paid in full. Almost. Then I remember I get a freaking batarang in 22 days and all sadness disappears.

I think this deal is worth it if you have only 1 or 2 games with a TIV of $20 or more. That is, a game worth $20 TIV is bumped up to $24 TIV instead of the regular $23.33 in a T3GIF deal. Thus if you have any games with a high TIV it's better to use 2 of them here and pay the difference to get Batman Arkham Asylum.

Depends on the employees. Some can be pretty picky about what pre-orders you can trade towards for T3GF while others are aren't.

If they let you, though, it'll cover a maximum of $69.99.

What happens if you trade some high value games to get the extra credit and then just cancel your pre-order when the game releases to get that credit put toward something else?

you're saying it's a better deal to give them 2 with $20 tivs,
get them bumped to $24 = $48 and then pay the difference of $21, rather
than to go to blockbuster for example and buy 1 game for $9.99-$14.99 with a TIV of $8+ and get the game FREE?

i don't follow.

I'm saying IF you have ONLY 1 or 2 games with a high TIV then you may try this. Not everyone likes hunting down games just for flipping. And the deal is made even sweeter IF you have 1 or 2 games that are worth more than $20 TIV. EB is just giving you an alternate trade-in option here.

We may want to check on this, because I think it might really just be for trying to get people to trade in their higher-TIV games.

you're telling me you would rather pay the extra $25+ cash rather than pop
into a local BBV and grab a copy of PGR4 for $9.99? there's a 2 for 1 sale
at BBV right now. if you trade in one of those $20 tiv games to BBV you can
probably buy 2 and get another free paying a couple bucks maybe.
T3 at EB get it free and still have another $20 TIV game still in your
possession.

Okay, clearly this deal isn't for you. What if you had 2 games both worth $30 TIV? Would you still do a T3GIF? Like I said, it's just an option.

this has happened a few times recently.
they were copies of COD4 and i took them to FS and got $37 each for them.
so now i can get any game i want new and not be stuck with batman
on release day if it's a dud.
j, you have to remember that some people don't have a great selection of BBV titles for the T3 deal
Haha yeah, it also helps if that great selection of BBV titles for T3 aren't all taken by you already :)

Though I have managed to find a whopping 4 $10 titles that qualified in the past couple weeks around the Hammer :D

i KNEW i had competition out there!

LOL, don't worry too much about me, I don't really do too much flipping. Only gotten around 4 more games on top of the 4 $10 games I mentioned earlier. And 3 of those were only cause of the BBV clerk mentioning that B2G1 deal :p

Though I have noticed the mark you've left with all the Rock Revolutions scattered at the various BBVs in the area! :D

To clear this up for everyone, I just stopped by EB and the associate showed me the Arkham Asylum deal in that handbook and it clearly states that -any- game that with a 20% bump goes over the $8 trade-in value will NOT, I repeat NOT qualify for T3G1F. So any of those $7 games you may have been hoping to get bumped up will not count.

i noticed they're down to $29.99 now! i guess the TIV isn't really $24 now.
they should bundle them with Quake Wars and pay people to take them.

I traded in Rock Rev for $24 yesterday, so if the price changed today (the day of a civic holiday) I'd be pretty ticked. =/ Have 3 more Rock Revs to get rid of. :(
