Update 2:

Lone Prodigy is awesome and made a new one: http://ebtradeinvalues.scribblewiki.com/Main_Page

Update:
Please update the wiki yourself. The new wiki is http://www.citgocapital.com/wiki/index.php?title=Main_Page

RFDers use/edit it as well.

Alright, the Americans have a wiki page with all the EB Games trade-in values and I figured we might as well start one for the Canadian EB. It's good reference for if we ever want to sell our soul or maybe take advantage of loopholes in their promos! I'll try and keep the list updated as much as possible.

If you have info to add, please do so in the following format:
*Game Name - $# - Month Day, Year
For example:
*Sonic Mega Collection - $8 - September 29th, 2006.

Group them by system please!

So I did Elite Beat, American Idol and Guitar Hero: On Tour to FULLY pay off BlazBlue 360 (the trade 3 deal).
I was left with $157 in credit, so I bought LocoRoco2, so I'm done to $132.

Great day overall :)

Wow i never knew they took of money for no case... they never did for me =\
All they did was shrinkwrap it and toss it in their glass display cabinet for GBA games.

Yeah I was surprised! I didn't really care as I sold my DS, and I know that other stores don't take DS games at all without the case.

GC TIVS are dropping like a rock at EB =(

Anyone remember $7 for Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess GC?

Its $0.75 now...

It may be safe to assume most if not all gamecube TIVs are below the dollar mark now.

Have you guys ever encountered an EB refusing to take a disc because it needed to be refurbished? Instead of just charging me $3 to rebuff it they wanted to take $3 off of the TIV which would have made it ineligible for a T3.

Going to try another location tomorrow.

Silent Hill: Homecoming (360) : $15
Sega Rally Revo (PS3) : $8
Little League World Series Baseball 2008 (Wii) : $8

I've had this happen to me before. I was going to trade in a copy of Def Jam Icon but my 360 ate up the disk pretty badly.
The girl ended up bumping the TIV of my game down from $11 to $8 instead.

I guess in my case it rocks since i dont need to pay any extra money but if you have a borderline $8 game then its not so good =(

I had this happen with my Transformers ROTF pre-order.
I gave them a Rapala Fishing game for the Wii that needed $3 of refurbishing.
So it bumped the TIV from $12 to $9. He gave me Transformers receipt and
on it said I owed $3. I paid them CASH money for the refurb!
Seemed weird to me.

My question now is this:
If I had traded the game for "credit". Would I have gotten an Edge Card
with $9.00 total on it and owed them NOTHING? Or would I still have had to give them $3 CASH to get them to give me credit for the game?

I don't get why I had to pay cash. The game still qualified with the $3 taken off. The guy convinced me they weren't going to accept the game at all unless I paid to have it resurfaced. I felt like I was being fined.
It doesn't cost THEM $3.00 to resurface it! Why do I have to pay for them to clean it so THEY can sell it for 3 times it's TIV??

I went to BBV after. Bought 2 games. I had the clerk open them and look at the discs. They were scratched to hell. She resurfaced them both right then and there in the store free of charge - and remember - I already PAID for the games and our transaction was over.

Went back to return my Transformers ROTF guarantee at EB.
The same shitty store wouldn't give me the credit on the Edge card again!
They insisted it had to go on the Gift Card. At least this time they put the
tax on. But WTF is with EB? Everything the do seems WRONG and STUPID.
(ie: Game Days)

From what I understand, the only problem EB has is getting information from the higher-ups down to the lower levels and sometimes severely lacking to train employees. Just because an individual fails as an employee doesn't mean it's all EB's fault lol

I actually hit up another EB today and the girl there just took a quick look at the discs and didn't even mention anything about rebuffing them. Proof that every EB is different and that the cute girl that accepted my game is way better than the chubby gross one that didn't.

GBA:
$.50=Mario Kart Super Circuit (not worth it)

Wii:
$4.00=Dragonball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 2
$13.00=We Ski and Snowboard

DS:
$.01=Nanostray DS
$1=The Legend of Zelda: Windwaker
$6.00=Advance Wars: Dual Strike
$8.00=Need for Speed Underground DS
$9.00=Star Fox Command DS
$22.96=Metroid Prime Hunters (Adjusted 30%, which probably means it was $16)

Everything else I traded in was still the same TIV as the site (Red Steel,RE4,Twilight Princess, New Super Mario Bros, Mario Kart DS, Super Mario 64 DS, and Meteos DS). Ended up getting $215 back and bought Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10 Bundle. As an aside, buy Tiger Woods if you own a Wii. It's great. That is all.
Yeah it's simply the EB you want to, cause all of that sounds completely wrong. And they should have put your transformers on an edge card.
thanks man, complaining isn't as much fun unless someone's listening ;)

OT: as of today

BBV = $18.00 :D

Soul Calibur IV for 360 is 19.99 Used now

Oh, its at EBGames.
I saw the price drop and I was afraid that the TIV might drop like how Soul Calibur is now barely making it at $8.

Might be a good idea to trade in your copies soon everyone!

Devil May Cry 4 (360) - 7.00 @ EB
Metroid Prime Hunters - 16.00 @ EB

I also tried to trade Ninja Gaiden, however the guy said the TIV was 3.00 (not the "we have too many copies 2.00). Could that be possible? On the site it's 12.00 two days ago.

Confirmed Ninja Gaiden II is down to $3, oh well, I guess I'm stuck with a copy... it was good while it lasted :)

Other EB Games TIVs from today 7/7

Xbox 360
C&C Red Alert 3 $11
Overlord $11
Skate $10
Tomb Raider Underworld $2 (just asked for kicks)

Wii
MySims Party $8

I called EB today and they told me:

Fallout 3 (360) - $37

down $3 from a week ago... Damn. The site still says $40, tho.

Noooooooooo Neksus! Noooooo!
You're overwriting the Blockbuster TIVS with the $10 promo TIVS!?!?
Everything non-sports is $10. Awww man, this is gonna throw us off.
ex. Manhunt 2 for the Wii is ACTUALLY worth $2 after promo I believe.

You're still the best.
Remember when there were Tivs.ca imitators? Where'd they go?
:)

We have no idea how long this promo is gonna last for, not to mention at least a handful of these games have to be worth ~$10. Also, last time they did this, they jacked the used prices up afterwards and lots of the tivs actually went up past $10, so whatever. Also, for people unaware of the $10 tiv promo, they now have something to go by.
the cute girl that accepted my *censored* is way better than the chubby gross one that didn't
Don't you just love unnecessary censorship?
I keep seeing you mention Rapala.. is it cheap at BBV or something? The used copy I saw was $29.99.
There's 2 games and it's tricky cause they have nearly identical covers.
There's Rapala Fishing Tournament and Rapala Fishing Frenzy.
"Frenzy" is newer and was probably the $29.99 version.

I've only ever bought "Tournament" cause yes, it is $9.99 at all the BBVs
in my Hamilton area. I get it for the Wii and 360. I don't know anything about
PS3 versions if they exist. They have an amazing trade in value for some
reason. EB is now matching Future Shop's $18 for the Wii version.

EB used to give $10. I have no idea how people come up with TIV amounts.
But for whatever reason BBV hates the game and EB/FS are overpaying for it.

Thursday July 9th, 2009 - EB Games
Assassin's Creed - Xbox 360 - $8
Prince of Persia - Xbox 360 - 15$
Punch-Out - Wii - $37

(Assassin's Creed still valid for 3f1, but not likely for long)

looks like more bbv games have bit the dust.

Skate 360 - 14.99 used at EB
Sega Rally Revo - 14.99 used at EB

I was told they no longer qualify for T3 but the guy never rang up their new TIVs.

EBGames TIV's as of today:
Assassins Creed PS3 - $8
Marvel Ultimate Alliance PS3 - $15
Alone in the Dark PS3 - $8
Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 2 PS3 - $12 (Zellers is selling for $13.83 this week, so if you need any for T3G1F...)
Rainbow Six Vegas 2 PS3 - qualified for T3G1 (over $8)
Eat Lead PS3 - $3

BBV TIV's:
Metal Gear Solid 4 CE PS3 - $20 (Standard is $12.50)
Endwar PS3 - $24

Side story - Went to FS today, the CSR was new, so as she pulled up my game titles, she kept going back and forth asking question while leaving the whole trade value screen for me to review. I tried to print the damn thing, but not sure which printer it came out of (not the one besides it). would've been sweet if i can get a hold that.... anyhow... back to thread.

FS:
F.E.A.R. 2 - Project Origin (PS3) - $35 (they overrided it as it was showing $35 on one screen and $18 on another)
Star War Force Unleashed (PS3) - $22.80
Metal Gear Solid 4 (PS3) - $8.40
Sonic Unleashed (360) - $13.20
Madden 09 (PS3) - $18.00
NHL 08 (360) - $0.75

I always wondered, what's the deal with that? I've only traded there twice, but I remember the same thing happening to me both times. On multiple games, too. The guy gave me the higher value both times (which got me like an extra $50 between the few games I was trading in), but I never understood why there's two TIVs.

Don't worry about FS - I've got my in with them :)
I'd like to do another FS update, but there's under 4 weeks until my wedding and the mrs. would probably get mad if I was on the computer for a few hours!

The POS terminals are not updated regularly, whereas the STAR system (the intranet they look the games up on) are the correct values. Generally, they'll give you whichever is more, but they're supposed to over-ride any differences with what you saw on the website.

Resident Evil 5 was worth $37 at EB today (July 14).

*Edit - forgot to mention that it was an Xbox 360 copy.

Anybody here ever trade Tiger Woods 2010 Wii with the Wii Motion Plus to EB? I like the game but my body is so aged that I can't play the game without getting hurt and I want to trade it in for Wii Sports Resort so my niece and nephew will have something else to play other than Wii Sports.

Yeah, I can call them but they never answer the phone; they're always busy at the location I frequent. Another location always have some peon who wants me to bring the item so he can scan it. HAHA!
