Update 3: The new website is http://www.tivs.ca thanks to neksus!

Update 2:

Lone Prodigy is awesome and made a new one: http://ebtradeinvalues.scribblewiki.com/Main_Page

Update:
Please update the wiki yourself. The new wiki is http://www.citgocapital.com/wiki/index.php?title=Main_Page

RFDers use/edit it as well.

Alright, the Americans have a wiki page with all the EB Games trade-in values and I figured we might as well start one for the Canadian EB. It's good reference for if we ever want to sell our soul or maybe take advantage of loopholes in their promos! I'll try and keep the list updated as much as possible.

If you have info to add, please do so in the following format:
*Game Name - $# - Month Day, Year
For example:
*Sonic Mega Collection - $8 - September 29th, 2006.

Group them by system please!
Just ask on RFD what the TIVs are.. I'm sure someone helpful over there will look it up for you :p

I wish I got bumps :(
Although, one time when I traded in 10 games for the +$50 promo, they did bump up Pirates of the Caribbean for me!
ya it really depends on whos there...the people @ the aurora EB are quite friendly and will help out where needed (going there often doesn't hurt my chances either)

I wasn't expecting to be able to pick up a 3rd game as part of the promotion but they even bumped up a $5 to $8 to help me out...so I guess being nice to them pays off every now and then (plus they got 3 more pre-orders which only helps them as well)

im nice to my store and i've never had a bump from a lower value game (something under 8) get bumped up to 8. Maybe the extra dollars from games over 8$ sealed it or something so they could add a few bucks from those titles? I'm not entirely sure how the system works but it does have its limitations. very nice though to see that gets done to help a customer out.

I'm expecting trade in values would go back up next monday neksus, it almost falls into the right place as the sale is ending and prices will and should be updated on many titles that had a 10$ dollar drop because of gamedays.

I've never had a bump but I believe the official policy for T3G1F is this:

You must trade in 3 games. If any games are worth $8 or more, they get bumped up to $23.33. If only 2 are $8 or more, those 2 get bumped to $23.33 and you can use the 3rd game as normal credit towards the pre-order.

On an unrelated note, the current T3 list is pretty lame.

Guitar Hero 5, Tekken, GI Joe, Madden 10, NHL 10, Cabela Hunter something or other. And of course Wolfenstein (current gaming guarantee). Hopefully in the next month or so we'll see the big fall releases?

In the past few weeks I've preordered Bioshock 2, CoD:MW2, F3 GOTY and Fallout: New Vegas
Gonna either go for Alan Wake or Marvel: UA2 next

Hey people, the TIV thread over at RFD is getting some stiff competition from the gamedays thread (which is like a big buzz movie being released right at Oscar time and people forgetting about the movie they saw a year ago that they love :(), and I could use any help I could get from people who have an account over there! Head over to this thread and vote for the TIV thread please!
As of July 25th

Soul Calibur IV - $14
Dead or Alive 4 - $8
Metroid Prime 3: Corruption - $14
Dead Rising - $7
Consoles?

Have your pre-orders been through various flips neksus? I think I may start taking more effort to find $10-$15 games at BBV and trading them in to EB for the T3.

How were you able to pre order these? Does your eb let you pre order any of them w/ the Trade 3?

Some EBgames let you pre-order any upcoming title with T3 deal but some will only let you use what is on the T3 list. It seams to depend on who you talk to. Luckily my local EBgames don't seem to care

That and kijiji. You'd be surprised how many Assassin's Creeds/NFS: Most Wanted you can find for $5. I'm meeting someone later today to get Resistance 1 and AC (PS3) for $10 total!
How were you able to pre order these? Does your eb let you pre order any of them w/ the Trade 3?
They have a list on the computer with every upcoming game. It's in the binder, too.

why WOULDN'T you? or anyone for that matter? if you're familiar with me
you know i stalk several BBVs routinely and i never fail to find cheap
T3 bait. a whole wack of games have had their TIV hit the magic 8+ mark

it's a magical time to have them doing $10 Minimum Promo during EB Gamedays.
the possiblities are endless!

EB:
Tiger Woods 05 DS - 4.00
Brain Age DS - 7.50

360
Splinter Cell: Double Agent - 7.50
Army of Two - 7.50
RB6:V2 - 12 (Didn't trade)
Dead Space - 12
Too Human - 8

Used the last 2 to get NHL 10 for $20. I still can't believe that Dead Space and Too Human are worth that much, considering I paid $10 for each not too long ago, in fact I'm pretty sure I bought Too Human from EB, weird.

I think it's because all the BBVs near me (Yonge and Steeles area) are terrible for game selection, since they are not "GameRush" stores. I also find it's a hassle getting a complete game with the manual and insert. The BBV near my house in Waterloo has a decent game selection, but I won't be booking it to Waterloo every other week to do the T3G1F heh. I may hit up the two local BBVs tomorrow and see what I can find; what's the most you would spend on one game, $14.99? Three games at $14.99 would make new releases $44.97, which is pretty close to what I'd consider paying!

Yeah, GameDays thread is nowhere close to as useful as TIVs.ca imo =/ It's a one month thing. Also wouldn't mind some votes my way as the competition seems to be closing in fast all of a sudden =O

Can we vote for ourselves? I haven't voted on mine yet XD

$14.99 is my cut-off, unless I desperately need a game and have BBV credit. I won't ever go higher than $19.99 though! Even then, it's generally a game I wouldn't mind playing.

Hey neksus, I've updated tivs.ca via my login.

Should I also post it here?

Fallout 3 (PS3) Ebgames = $25
Fallout 3 (PS3) Futureshop = $30 (although the arrogant SOB sale associate wouldn't look it up in front of me cause he said he checked it earlier, so it may not be 100% accurate.)

i'm used to only paying $9.99 and getting $8+ TIV games for EB.
lately i've taken to buying a bunch of $14.99 and even a couple $19.99 games
because i'm trying to get as many Wolfenstein GGs as possible.
i know what you mean about paying $45+tax for a $69.99 EB game.
it's not a great deal.

but i've been trading so long that i don't feel it now.
my BBV credit is from EB deals, doorcrashers and $5 turds during the
$10 min. promos. "i'm playing with the house's money" so to speak.
so it's win-win. like someone said before it's "space money".
i have to look back to 08 to see where i injected my own cash.

waste of time? maybe. waste of gas? i can see that.
but like other great timewasters: comic books, cartoons, etc.
'it amuses me'

Just to add to this - these were all as of July 29

I checked at Rogers today (july 30) and Fallout 3 (PS3) is worth $40 (and 2 star points)!
Do it there!
Do I have this right?: You want lots of Wolfenstein GGs so you can return them, get credit, then use that credit to get other new releases? How much credit do you get for Wolfenstein?

Also, isn't there a way to do this without using a GG game? Something about getting a gift receipt, or using the pre-order receipt because it doesn't show that you traded 3 games to get it? I forget.

NHL 10 and Madden 10 (and may other sports games?) have special promos on.. Trade 2 $8+ TIV titles and pay $19.99 extra. Normally others games you need to trade 3.

God of War: Chains of Olympus
Too Human
Gran Turismo 5 Prologue
GRAW 2 (360)
Star Wars: The Force Unleashed (PS3)
and Super Paper Mario

...all still qualify for T3G1F.

Worth noting that Chains of Olympus can be had for $10 new at HMV, and Star Wars is about $13 at Rogers with the current 30% off promo.

You mean the EB Doorcrashers? I thought it ends today...

yes the different one for a month ends today, but $10 game of the day recurs fairly often....I can wait.

BBV here has TONS of too human for 19.99, beyond me how EB is counting that one
got as part of 6 games for $27 shipped from an rfder
Wow! That was either an AMAZING deal, or you got RB6V2 and 5 incredibly CRAPPY games!

What was that RFDers username? ;)

The deal was 4 games for $27 (exactly what he was asking in the post), R6v2, Burnout revenge, blue dragon and R6V. But when they arrived he had thrown in Dark Sector and Quake too (and since BBV had min $10 at the time that made it a pretty good deal...) . i had told him to not mail the cases so they could go as 1 lettermail, but he sent the whole works. Great condition too.

it was someone who hadn't made many posts, no fb. So I don't think he'd be offerring more.

I've only checked the bst a few times with so many of them only doing local pickups. Got a bunch of gc games years ago for about $5 each, and they were all ones like skies of arcadia that were sellng quite high on ebay at the time.

Aug 1st TIVs at EB

The Club (PS3) $1
The Simpsons Game (360) still $10
Tomb Raider: Underworld (Wii) $11
We Ski and Snowboard (Wii) $13

August 1st TIVs:

Blockbuster -

Dark Sector - $0
Bioshock - $10
Fight Night Round 4 - $18 (The guy was shocked)
Stranglehold - $10
Hmmmm looks like BBV is paying attention to the EB promo! Good to see!
i think for some reason the TIV of Fight Night 4 is low on purpose. I checked at ebgames last week and it was only $20. I thought FNR4 is an amazing game, no idea why eb would have such a low tiv base amount to begin with. Maybe thats why bbv's is low too?

EB's trade-in should be higher than that now, but I'll check tomorrow when I go in to buy it. Rogers Video will give you $45 for it, so that's where I'll be taking it. If I decide to go that route, anyways.
