[Canada] EB Games: Trade 3 games for a pre-order of ANY upcoming game

Damn. Time for weeks and weeks of trying to find qualifying titles. Bet I won't even want to look at a game with a 8$+ TIV after this. Thanks Firestorm.:D
 
i think they did this a year back at this time too. i still have all papers with all the $8+ trade values, haha

if it's like last time, they'll allow up to $69.99 credit per 3 games traded in, meaning if you want to put it towards Guitar Hero III or Rock Band (or anything tagged at more than $69.99), you'll have to cover the difference.
 
time to get rid of some games :D and btw i just want to say that i just got marvel ult alliance for 9.89$ at ebgames so i guess its their gotw

sry forgot to say it. Its for the xbox 360 but i'm not sure if its nationwide better check it out first by calling. Great game IMO totally worth the 10$.
 
A guy on RFD got $30 credit on the DS by trading in a $8+ game. It could be that he traded in a game with $30 TIV. This makes it uber-hot.

Thats good. My local game store just started that too (1up Games). I prefer 1up, but EB is alot closer.

I was at my local EB today and the guy that was working told me that I could choose any preorder OR any game that's in the store (Max price of $69.99) for this trade 3 promotion. Might be YMMV.
 
To be honest the Trade 3 Get is Free deal in the past was on all new games coming out or IN store that where 69.99 or less. anything higher you pay the difference.

Not 100% really. I would say yes untill I read more about it. but dont qoute me on that.
 
Any title that is 1-3 weeks (ish) old. They told me i could get halo/nhl 08 if i desired, but than we laughed about the blockbuster deal.

The staff by sportsworld (not there anymore), costco, in kitchener are probably the best EB staff i've ever come across.
 
i went and did the deal today. They wouldnt let me pay the difference on a guitar hero 3 bundle, so I ended up just pre-ordering mass effect. The qualifying games were:

Kingdom Hearts (Greatest Hits)
Final Fantasy 10
Zelda OOT + Master Quest

i actually was going to just put it up on ebay, but i put up marvel vs capcom 2 (ps2) and bust a goove (ps1) instead.
 
I know eb only lets you trade in one of the same title, but is that per trade-in? or if someone had multiple copies of certain games would they have to go back on different days?

If you come in 5 days in a row with the same title, then that's probably raising suspicion ;P

You can also try another EB that will let you pass the 1 copy-per-title limit. I don't know of any EBs here that follow the 1 copy limit.
 
EB near my work claims to have no knowledge of this deal whatsoever. Ugh, I wanted to trade in some of my stuff towards GH3 :\

Does anyone know if Kirby Canvas Curse is still valid? I used one of my copies from the Source clearance back in August, but I still have one kicking around... Unfortunately, they won't let me find out the TIV over the phone :(

Ditto for Dynasty Warriors (PSP)
 
I am surprised they are taking Greatest Hits PS2 games. Does anyone think most PS2 games will count for 3 for Mass Effect?
 
Mention specific titles like Super Mario Galaxy or SSBB, they then mentioned that it's always on for those ones.

Yeah I heard the same thing from my local EB. Others have reported that their EB's are running the deal till the first weekend in november.
 
So its YMMV if this is running again? I was just going to ask if anyone knew for sure. Guess I will have to call my local one, for some reason i thought it was this weekend coming up, and the next one was the last one.
 
The EB I was at last night had quite a bit of signage up regarding this promo, which would lead me to believe that it's still on.
 
I was going to get Ratchet and Clank FUTURE on release day, with some trade-ins. The guy told me that if I waited till Friday I could get it free.

Games were:
Project Sylpheed (360)
Shrek the Third (360)
Pokemon: Diamond (DS)


Also, need 6 more for VF5 and UT3.
