Wow, like 90% of those games are worth $20-$30 you're really not saving much, unless you get a bunch of Brunswick Bowlings or something :p.

Sweet...just said "I wish EB had a trade 2 + 9.99 deal" yesterday :p. Sadly its 19.99, but I'll do it anyways.
Hmmm should I get Street Fighter 4 or Halo Wars? Which game do you think will hold its value longer and which can I get later for cheap? I don't really feel like getting both right now as I don't have time and by the time I'm done with my other games hopefully one will have a price drop anyways.

I haven't played a fighter since the PS1 days, where I played a bit of mortal kombat and a few capcom fighters...whatever they were, so I probably won't be great initiallly. I like playing RTS as well...although the controls better be good and the font better not be super tiny on my SDTV as was the case with C&C. I'm not sure which game I'd get more out of though. I don't have great internet for multiplayer...though it might work in this case as in SFIV its only 1v1 and for halo wars there are similarily few people playing one match at a time.

EDIT: crap just saw the list of titles --- that sucks. Only have CoD3 that I'd want to get rid of...maybe I'll drop by BBV and pick up some cheap game XD
... should I get Street Fighter 4 or Halo Wars?. ..
Street Fighter 4, hands down, while HW is mapped for the console RTS' are home on the computer, plus Street Fighter 4 makes a good party game if you have some friends over, and a decent online and all that. Halo Wars doesn't seem like it'll hold its own online except for a dedicated few (it's not like the meatheads and kids who play Halo 3 constantly would start understanding what strategy is all about =\).

A good fighter holds its own for a very long time, RTS' last a bit but eh. That's just me (this is from a PS3 owner's POV, I own a 360 but it just sits there unless an exclusive comes along).

gosh, i wonder how ill get killzone two when i get my ps3 back :/ hmmm...

i havent played ST4 let, still under its gamecase.. but i have high hopes for it. i remember having a blast with street fighter arcade or PC when i was younger.

I would assume so, they haven't updated their website, but the last trade in deal ended yesterday and as the title says, this is the march promo.

Now I can dump my Resistance 1 and Motorstorm and pick up KZ2. I played SFII when it first came out along with all the other fighters during the craze. Think i'm over that now, those games don't really interest me anymore. Only one i might buy is the next Tekken when it comes out. Otherwise SFIV is just a rental for me.

Will probably stop there after work tomorrow. Sunday transit sucks :(

Bleh. Be wary, as many of these titles are worth $37 to trade in on their own, as opposed to the $20-$25 worth of credit you'll get if you use them in this promo.

Yeah you're probably right. StarCraft was just a fad :p

Isn't SFIV only 2 player though? I mean, if I had friends over, I'd have to vs. them right? And only 2 people at a time?
Either way, I think I'll go for SFIV anyways.

Think I might finally give up my copies of Assassin's Creed and Mass Effect for SFIV.
I've almost traded in Bioshock several times, but love it far too much to take it off my shelf.

That's how I feel about Bioshock as well =/
It's just such a good game...

Trash talking and drunken stupor related projectiles (ie throwing things at random) can always be a complementary game to any activity, including vidya games.

On topic: Looks like I'll have to try to scrounge up two games to pick up SF4 this way.

Another thing is, all I have is a 360 controller. I heard however it's still playable even with it, so I probably won't let it stop me :p

I'm still very surprised and curious as to why they want Call of Duty 3. It's the worst game in the series... But anyway, I'm happy to get rid of it. Tempted to get rid of Mass Effect as well...but I'm not sure...hmmm.

Also like to get rid of Lost Odyssey...not sure on that yet either...

Bah. Why no love for PC games? I'd like to get Empire Total War for $19.99 (though $9.99 would be even better... stupid CDN$ >_

LOL Guitar Hero Aerosmith?! I bought it when it was 4.99 used...never play it so i'll prob just trade it in with some other game on the list, awesome!

actually i think brunswick bowling is 25$
Yeah you're probably right. StarCraft was just a fad :p
I meant on consoles.

Actually on the PC it's the exact opposite, the strategy games last near forever and the fighters... not so much.

Ah I see Toronto isn't the only city with "what-the-fuck-the-bus-comes-every-50-minutes"-itis. :D

fuck off, no way. Really? Gaah I hope you're being sarcastic.
Select titles only, boo.
Was it not at one point any game that is worth 8$ or more?
I think the trade three is still the one to go for, unless some of the listed games are below $8 and they're doing you a favor.

I didn't even know they had a trade three going on right now. That includes all games over 8$, right?
I didn't even know they had a trade three going on right now. That includes all games over 8$, right?
Yeah, trade-3 games over eight bucks and you get a preorder.

Unless they stopped running it for March to boost these, but I've never had a problem doing trade-3s whenever.

They still are doing the trade 3 deal, when i got to the store today i decided i didn't really want kz2 and went for one of the preorders instead, am much happier i got a game i'm really interested in (Hawx, cause i really love air combat games) and not one i didn't really care about.

Ya, the trade 3 is actually a better deal technically. I mean, say you can get games for 10$. 10$ x 3 = 30$ or 10$ x 2 + 20 = 40. Plus, since the trade 3 takes 8$ games, they should be easier to find. I'm going to try to do that one probably this weekend.

I saw at futureshop and i googled it lol

Oh wait ~_~ I thought you meant the TIV! That's what I was thinking.

I went in today with Mario and Sonic at the Olympics and Excite Truck to trade for LBP, and the guy said I was better off not taking the deal because those two games were on their "Most Wanted" list. So I got $55 in credit for those two ($30 for Mario & Sonic, which is what I paid for it at Futureshop; $25 for Excite Truck which I got from Goozex), and ended up paying a measely $5.64 for a new copy of LittleBig Planet.

EB is great when they have good deals on :)

sorry i'm kinda confused.
so you "could" have traded those 2 games for a brand new LBP, but he told you not to?
instead you got the $55 credit. but after you used that to buy LBP? and paid $5.64?

wasn't it better off just to trade it in?
sorry if i'm misunderstood

he couldve traded those 2 games and still pay for LBP 20$ but traded the games in without promo and got 55 store credit and used it for the LBP and only had to pay 5$

ohh alrite thanks
i get it now.
sorry bout that.
thanks!

Took advantage of this today! Traded Mirror's Edge (which was $49.99 new for 360 and $39.99 new for PS3... weird) and Resistance 1 to get $50 of Halo Wars. I knew I was getting HW and Killzone 2, but did it for Halo Wars since it's $10 more everywhere =D

is the trade 3 games ($8+ tiv) for 1 preorder game or any new game?
Can it be mix and match from different consoles?
ex. does trading psp games work and get a ps3 game? or any combination

Also, if I have 2-4 games that are on the wanted list. Is it better just to get the store credit rather than paying $20 for a each new game?
ohh alrite thanks

Yeah, exactly what Phanta said. Instead of paying $20 with their March promo, I paid under $6 because the two games happened to be on their most wanted list. Sorry if it wasn't written that clearly. Sometimes I jump ahead of my thoughts when typing :)

Has anyone had trouble getting EB to honour this? From the EBs I went to, only one knew of the deal, the others all said no.

show them the website

Ya, tried. They don't have internet...haha.
Is there a printable version of the flyer or something?
That thing has way too much color and black in it...whole cartridge would be finished.
Ya, tried. They don't have internet...haha
tell them to call headoffice
tell them to call headoffice
Ok, I'll try this next time :). Even the manager said no when I was there. He was going to charge me 6$ more, and although not much, it just kind of bugged me since the flyer is right there on their site. I had picked up a 15$ game with credit I had to trade in, and then one of my own. So I was hoping to get the game for like 25$ out of my pocket (since that 15$ credit cost me basically nothing)

Lol ya too much black great...black is more valuable to me than color since I need it more :p

The EB I went to had the flyers on the counter beside the cash, but the guy I talked to didn't know about the promo. So I had to show him the flyer.

Birdbrains.

Going to be trading in Civilization Revolution and Lost Odyssey for Skate 2 this week. Kind of annoys me that I just bought Lost Odyssey last week but I hit a snag in it and realized that I'm pretty much done with RPGs.

I was also considering getting rid of LO, but the TIV at FS is still 22.80, so I took 2 others instead. Agree on the tired of RPG comment though...the only one I've really enjoyed was Vesperia so far.

I was actually thinking about picking up the new Star Ocean but I'll probably wait or get it sent to me by GameAccess.

I'm not sure what it is but I no longer have the patience to run around virtual cities talking to everyone and hoping one of them points me in the right direction. Lost Odyssey seems like it's a great RPG but I just don't think I care enough to really get into it and it would probably be better if I traded it in for something I will play.

Where are you stuck on LO?
