I was actually planning on buying Star Ocean...till I saw the trailer showing this cat character's reaction to some monster. Then I figured I'd pass completely.
I actually beat Lost Odyssey...and I'd rate it second best on the console. (Not including mass effect here though). But its a pretty steep drop from first to 2nd...goes from like a 9.5 down to a 6.5.

Well I'm not actually stuck I just lost a fight about 5 times and it got me frustrated to the point where I'm sick of it. It's on disc 1 where you meet the 2 kids in the ruined city and you have to fight 5 the group of guards. The cavalry guards literally wipe out my entire team.

lol I actually booted it up again tonight after reading a FAQ. Seems I was 4 levels below what I should have been for the fight. Levelled up and beat it very easily.

I might end up keeping LO because the scene after that fight really sold me on the story.
