Well, Rock Band for PS2 isn't bad if you don't already have it. I'd totally grab it for the instruments, then hunt down a cheap copy of the PS3 version... but I honestly don't have the space to keep a pile of plastic crap in my flat.

Walmart
Brain Age, Brain Age 2, Flash Focus, and Cross Word DS are all $14.99.
The demo's are on the Wii for these games.
The Kanata Walmart store had all the Mario, Metroid and Zelda lunch boxes for $8.

That's a really good price for those (aren't they like $34.99 at EB?)...but I don't really know what's in those. For $8 I bet they'd have at least something worthwhile in them... If I go to Walmart I'll keep an eye out for them.

I needed one more Mario Present for my sons Mario themed B-day party this Saturday so the timing worked out great. The Mario one came with all kinds of DS accessories including screen protectors that he needs for other present a DS that I got from the trade in 5 EB event from 2 months ago. He also needed a lunch box for grade 1.
The Wii accessories kinda suck in the other lunch boxes. Just skins for the Wii remote and Wii disk games cases.

Wow, that worked out perfectly then, eh? I probably wouldn't even need any of that stuff I guess... but I'll at least keep my eye out, just incase.

I remember when I was a kid and had a Mario themed birthday party. My Mom made me a cake shaped like Mario's head... it was awesome! She also made Mario hats for everyone... and moustaches on sticks that we could hold up to our faces. Times have changed I'm sure.... but I just remember how awesome that cake looked! haha.

Wow... that sounds magical. I wish I had your mom...

My brother and I dressed up as Mario and Luigi for Halloween many years ago. Our mom made hats, mustaches (attached with rubber bands), and overalls. Good times. :D

The Metroid lunch box is $10 at EB; the rest are regular price.

Haha. I dressed up as Luigi one year... even though I wasn't as big of a fan of him. The reasoning: The only hat we had that looked like a Mario hat was green.

Thanks for the hat making idea. I found some cheap red and green ones at the dollar store. I'll use felt to decorate. I had already planned on making cool cake. The local anime store had some great imported Mario figures and stuff. I'm going to make a Mario level on top of the cake with various items. I've got 100 gold coins to do a coin hunt. I made a pinata that looks like a Chain Chomp. Also decorated a dinning room to look very Marioish with Coins hanging around, happy clouds, stars and mushroom. I'll try to post pics after the party in the new CAG blogs.

Damn, I wish my mom was like you. My mom cant even tell a ds apart from a psp....

There's no way in hell my mom would even go to a site like CAG, let alone joining....

This sounds like a sick party, make sure you take lots and lots of pictures!......I really want to see what the cake looks like! Your son is soooo lucky!

Here's the Pictures of what everything looked like. The kids enjoyed them selves very much and my son loves the Nintendogs and DS he got. We had a 100 coin hunt, destroyed a Pinata, and threw some water balloons.

That looks awesome! I'm glad everything worked out well... even though, I don't know how things could go bad if you were having a MARIO PARTY!
