Well I'm guessing there's probably a few collectors here so I thought it'll be nice to post some rare games sightings at eb games and such. (To help each other find rare games to complete our collection)

I'll start off.

Complete = Box, Manual, Game

Eb Games At Metrotown Vancouver on Feb.14, 2008
PS2:
Valkyrie Profile 2 (Getting pretty hard to find nowadays, complete) = $29.99 Gone
Magna Carta (Complete) = $54.99 Gone
La Pucelle Tactics (Complete) = $39.99

PSP:
Legend of Heroes I (Complete) = 19.99 Gone
Legend of Heroes II (Complete) = $19.99 Gone

Gamecube:
Fire Emblem Path of Radiance (Complete) = $39.99 Gone
Legend of Zelda Collectors (Complete) = $29.99 not sure if gone yet

Nope, got it at eb games, checked their gamecube selection first time didn't realized it was there, checked again before I left and found it, bought it along with another game.... It was for 19.99 though but I had the edge card and some trades credit so it wasn't a bad deal.

Didn't know Ikaruga for GC was "rare". I have a copy myself, but rarely touched it, since beating it way back. I might be tempted to sell it, but I get sentimental with my games, as you never know if you get the urge to play another game.

Full Metal Alchemist 2 (complete) = 24.99
Shadow Hearts covenant (Complete) = 32.99 (I think)
 
It's kinda surprising how rare Shadow Hearts 1 is, considering anybody that pre-ordered Covenant got a free copy of 1. And at the time it seemed like a lot of people took that great deal :bouncy:
 
After I played and enjoyed shadow hearts 2. I went out and found myself a copy of 1. Kinda happy I did now. Heck I may ahve bought an extra copy of it for a friend. lol.

Fatal Frame original Xbox is regarded to be one of the top five hardest to find Xbox games, but personally I feel that there isn't much of a demand anymore for xbox games....


For those of you who's looking for Tales of Symphonia (GC), theres a complete copy at Lougheed Eb Games in Burnaby, BC for $17.99. Even though it's complete the manual is in pretty rough condition (the front looks like it's been soaked in water...).

There's also a copy of ICO (no manual) for 15.99 there if anyone's looking for it. The other case front has been slashed by a sharp object..... (seriously what do people do with these games :roll:)

It depends, it's more difficult to find then some games and I still see people asking for it on the trades thread.
 
Just wondering if anyone has seen Psychonauts for the original xbox in any bargain bins in the GTA. I have heard that it is hard to find but, I am not sure if it's super rare or not.
 
I've only seen the PS2 version of Psyconauts in bargain bins. I had to buy my Xbox copy of Psyconauts from ebay for $30 because I couldn't find it anywhere and EB sells them for $40 used.

Blockbuster, 20 used. Quality varies. Found it 3 times at 3 different stores, none of them GTA area tho.

Thanks guys, I will go check out blockbuster tonight. I can't believe EB sells them at $40...
 
I'm having a hard time trying to find ninja gaiden black on the xbox around my corner(montreal).
Is it that rare?
 
i grabbed ninja gaiden black off ebay since i couldn't find it in stores, try searching it up via the CAG trading forum search, thats how i found ninja gaiden, i believe i saw a few black copies flying around
 
I'm not sure if this is rare, but I haven't seen it in a long time.

Riviera: The Promise Land (bookelt included, PSP game) at the EB in Scarborough Town Center for $34.99

I dont really see it on any list. I'm just seeing alot of sigma copies not black :bomb:.

There's actually a copy of it (Ninja Gaiden Black for xbox) at metrotown eb games for 29.99. Comes complete.

And for those in Toronto, Game Centre (Yonge and Charles) has had a couple copies of Advance Wars DS in for a while. $20, I believe. Which is quite the deal.

Edit: Well, used one out of case is gone. They had one in case for $30. Happy hunting.

FF7 goes for about 50-60 for the greatest hits and 60-70 for the black label on a regular basis. A sealed GH copy is worth 200 bucks, and a black label goes for 300-400 dollars. A copy of FF7 for 30 dollars complete or not would sell in about 30 seconds. Try it out. :D

Nothing to do with Advent Children or Dirge or Crisis Core, it's been one of the most consistent best selling games at that price for years. It's peaked but combine it with a 10 dollar brady games guide and it goes for 100 dollars easily.

I found a sealed copy of Ninja Gaiden Black but I haven't picked it up yet.

I've been looking for Bladestorm (360) but to no avail. If anyone sees it for under MSRP ($60 IIRC) let me know. The game horribly flopped, and I just now heard about it, want to give it a try.

i'd just sit and wait for bladestorm, at our best buy i don't think we've even sold a single game... the price will eventually fall a lot below 60.

heard it was a terrible game though - i'd rent before buying.

Radiata Story for 24.99 at Lougheed Eb Games for those of you who haven't gotten it yet.
 
There's a copy of Silent Hill 2 Complete (g.hits version) up for grabs at brentwood mall for 14.99.

They also have Izuna for the ds complete for 24.99... not sure if it's rare but I think I've seen someone looking for it on this board...

I was looking for Izuna, I found it though. And I'm in Ontario, anyway.
 
Its not tremendously rare and not good at all.

But I saw Unlimited Saga used for 9.99 at the queensway blockbuster in etobicoke.

If you're a collector of rpgs you might want it.

They also had Grandia 2 for ps2 but I grabbed that.

Wait these are rare? 'Cause there's a good dozen at the Queensway Futureshop in Toronto.

ToS is $17.99, unless they jacked up the price.
