2 for $40 is on again. YMMV as always since Rogers Video is the most unorganized chain in the country with these sales. Reports saying it's on in Prince George BC, Nanaimo BC, Brampton ON (Trixie location), and Trenton ON so far.
what exactly did u say to the manager, to get the rental copy. i wanna ask , tomorrow, but am not sure what to say.
sorry for the late reply but this is exactly how it went down.

me: "hi is that all the games for sale in that bin there?"
mod: "yea thats it"
me: "dang there was only one game in there that i wanted"
mod: "what else were you looking for?"
(I already looked ahead and saw 5 SC4's on the shelf but i really wanted gta so i asked for that first)
me" "I was looking for GTA"
*he types it in his computer but they were all rented out*
mod: "no sorry they are all out, is there anything else?"
me: "well I don't expect this to be in there but any SC4?"
*types some more and thinks for a sec*
mod: "You're in luck, I'm having a good day! Let me go get you one"
then he brings me it and processes the sale and I walk out thanking him and hoping his day continues to be good :D

you kind of have to scope it out too and see who is the manager and talk to them cause the regulars can't really help. I've done this two times so far and if you ask for a game that they have lots of rental copies in stock and they are in a good mood more than likely they will give it to you.

My local store has had the sale on for 2 weeks straight, if it continues I'll stop by on Wednesday (pull day) and check if they've got it on still. If so, Civ and SC4 should be up for grabs, neither has been rented out fully in 2 weeks.

2 for 40 is on at the Edinborough location in Guelph. Saw Ninja Gaiden 2, Lego Indy for 360, Guitar Hero Aerosmith for Wii and 360, and Uncharted.

Been to the Heritage Rogers and 51st Ave Rogers and they do not have a 2 for 40 sale here in Edmonton :(. I will try my luck with other ones tomorrow.

Im hoping to find chocobos dungeon wii this time around. And maybe beg for a copy of lost odyssey to be pulled for me.

GH aerosmith I guess would be fine too.

For $20 it's still a rip. That game was a $10 rental at best! ;)

eh wouldnt want to rent it. But its a guitar hero and unless the awesoness of the 5$ GH3 happens again 20$ is as cheap as I would expect to get it.

Its on in Toronto but doesn't seem like anywhere has anything worth anything out. I picked up Grand Theft Auto IV and Soul Calibur IV at my local one but I had to ask for SC IV and that was really all they had.

I picked up Civilization Revolution (PS3), GH:AS (Wii), Bad Company (PS3), SCIV (PS3 and 360 (have to play both SW characters)), and UT3 (360) at Prairie location (BC) they pulled maybe 10 copies of SC IV (360) also.

Heritage Rogers has the 2 for 40 sale in Edmonton now :) (im guessing its on for the other Rogers too...I'll check them out tomorrow)! But I didnt find anything for my PS3 :(. Didn't really look at other systems, but there looks to be a lot of 360 and DS games. Oh and another n00b question, but what does YMMV stand for?

Ok, so the Edmonton Rogers videos at Heritage, on 51st ave and 105st, and on Jasper and 112st all have 2 for 40 happening. I'm inclined to believe that all Rogers in Edmonton are having a 2 for 40 sale, but don't quote me on that ;). Again, the PS3 selection is crap at these locations as most of the games are already below $20 (unless you're dying for Turning Point or Conflict Denied Ops :p...).
