Just stopped by Rogers Video and picked up the June issue of their ePlus magazine/flyer. In the back there's a small box saying

2 for $30 Previously Played Video Game
Offer valid on the purchase of all previously played game

Apparently the offer is valid from June 5-25.

If this is true, without restrictions (there are none listed anywhere on the flyer) then this deal is SUPER HOT!

Edit : Called a Rogers, salesperson said it should on everything but told me to call back in a few days to confirm.

Since this was posted on RFD, get ready to rush out on June 5th and buy your games (since the raiding parties will arrive asap).

PS - keep an eye out for xbox live starter packs (for the original xbox, but they work for the 360). You may just be able to grab some for 10 bucks each.

Well, it seems the Wal-Mart in Capilano has no Magical Melody left. Just some Wonderful Life, Another Wonderful Life, and Save the Homeland (PS2). The Rogers in front of it has no good next-gen games. Some good last-gen games which might qualify for EB though. I'll check that out tomorrow.
 
I was able to get Pokemon Pearl and Rocket slime for the DS last night in Ottawa (Stittsville) at the Rogers video.
I've never played a Pokemon game before so it should be fun. I had trouble finding a second game and I asked the sales clerk if there was anything in the rental section I could have and she said if there was a game that hasn't been rented in three months I could buy it. I picked Rocket Slime.
 
i also pickup up rocket slime, but just to tell you, its 9.99 regular price used(or new?not sure), so you paid 15, for a 9.99 game, that you could have got for 7.50 (2/14.99). I aslso got scammed like this, except I bought tales of phatasia for gba cause it was labeled at 19.99 thinking I was getting a deal, but I look at my receipt and it shows sale price 15.00 original price 9.99. what a scam, so people check your bills, incase you also got scammed like that.

i wasn't able to check Wal-mart @ Queensborough a couple of days ago, but I'm gonna go today. crossing my fingers to see if they have Magical Melody
 
every walmart in my area seems to have like 12 copies of magical melody. anyone need me to pick it up? or anyone able to get harvest moon psp innocence at th 18.98$ price error?
 
Not sure if this is accurate or not, but I was talking to some of the employees at one of the stores I hit today, and she said the sale only has a week left, maybe less. Apparently the whole thing was just one big boo-boo, and HQ wants to end it a little early.

ya it was in the 20% bin I got Karaoke Revolution Party for the aswell and drill dozer for the GBA, it was a good day

I secured my copy today....after digging through the whole clearance bin and only coming up with Another Wonderful Life and Save the Homeland, I was about to give up...until I went to the glass display case and saw that they were actually kept in there :bomb:

Why would they need to end it early? If it was a mis-print then they don't have to honor it.

I checked out a Rogers in the GTA (Scarborough, to be exact); they had nothing but old last-gen games (WHY HAST THOU FORSAKEN ME, GAMING GODS?!), but the guy working there did say that as far as he knows, the sale ends "around the 25th", for whatever that's worth.

Tomorrow I think I'll have time to go down to the store...and I'm looking for Pokemon Diamond, CoD3, Lost Planet, and R6:Vegas (last 3 for 360), so does anyone have 2 or more of these games and are looking for something themselveS? I'll look around then and buy the ones you want if I can find them...then we can trade (Most likely through mail though...I don't live in BC) :D
 
Ugh. I wish I could have really checked some RVs out, but with a new puppy and all, it's hard to make a trip to London which is half an hour away and spend quality time there.

I love my puppy, though!

I have Lost Planet (didnt get it from sale though) I also have Pokemon Diamond. If I don't find UA tommorow when I hit mine up again maybe we can strike a deal.
 
hey all first time poster long time reader. trust me when i say go and ask the people up front if they have any games they are gonna put on the shelves but havent yet. went to 4 rogers and got:

then i was just getting annoyed at crappy selections so by the last location (port coquitlam) i asked if they were putting anything new up. they showed me a large pile of games where i picked up:

Right now nothing really to trade... I still need to finish a bunch of titles. GH2 has taken up so much of my non-kid-taking-care-of time :cool: If you want to take the time to buy and ship (if not local to burlington/hamilton/mississauga) let me know.

so my bro doesnt want the games i bought him (god of war 2, gears of war, nba 2k7 (PS3) and twilight princess (GC)) is anybody interested in trading? all i really want is for any game you want you can trade me 2 games that you can trade in at eb for the trade 3 get one free deal. i can also check my rogers again because i know they had rayman raving rabbids(360) and GRAW 2 when i checked an hour ago...pm me if interested and ill get an actual list of what they had up
 
EXCELLENT News (well, at least for me).

The Story: In the past few weeks the deal has been on, my Roger's PP section essentially consisted only of last-gen games that were of little playable or monetary value. Just today, I happened to just check one last time before losing hope on getting kick ass games. Then there it was:

JACK-FREAKIN'-POT

X360 and Wii games. I have the following:

Gears of War (x2) - one for me, one for CAG community, else I will exchange
Command and Conquer Tiberium Wars
Crackdown

I can, and probably will get others such as:

Sonic and Secret Rings (Wii)
Spiderman 3 (Wii)
GRAW 2
Rayman Raving Rabbids
 
I scored a few good ones:
