[Canada] Wii Classic Controller - $19.97, 2000 Wii Points Card - $14.97

I wouldn't mind paying some kind of "finders fee" to someone who doesn't mind grabbing some cards and a controller. No TRU in Guelph. :(

I read in the flyer a few days ago that it was 5 dollars off to make it 20, but I guess they may have another promotion going on.
to guelph dude just get bestbuy to pricematch via looking at the website. Tis what they did for me.

*not from guelph but still*
Says not available though, they might complain that its out of stock?
Anyone know if these prices are good in-store? The flyer doesn't have anything.
ANYONE???

in store price is 14.97! :)

i picked up 3, and just went and bought all the nes marios. no more blowing in those old cartridges anymore.

Yep, I can also confirm that this deal is good in-store. They may not be marked at the lower prices, but they'll scan as such.

MAJOR thanks to the OP for bringing this to our attention.

Just wanted to thank the OP again. So far Ive bought 3 cards. 1 via PM and 2 via in store at TRU.

Probably will go buy 2 more tomorrow. So thank you so much.

I PM FS last night. I was shocked at how...um...cranky the 19 year old CRS can be to you. It's your policy to price match don't get mad at me if someone has an item cheaper then you, it's your policy..
I went in I showed them the print out of the webpage showing 14.97. She said they don't price match limited stock items, I countered they have the item in stock and it is in their flyer not limited. She grabs the flyer shows me the $19.97. I explained that the flyer came out before their price drop to match the US dollar. The price is $14.97. "Oh". So, she called the store, luckily for me the Merivale TRU had gotten a shipment in and had stock because the website was sold out. She bared her teeth having lost the battle and gruffly said $15.93. I smiled brightly and said "Here you go, Thank You!" I left and the security alarm went off. She forgot to demagnetize the card. With her manager behind her she proceeded to apologize 4 times and smile nicely. That was worth it.

I expect some resistance but I wanted to price match to send a message to head office to lower there prices. Every time they price match am electronic form is filled out with reasons why and where the item is cheaper. I also didn't know TRU on Merivale had stock.

Did you get the 10% off the difference? If not go back and talk to a manager!
I did, it was $13.97 with tax 15.93.
thats way better than my online purchase, but all the TRU's in my area were completely out of stock >

Has anyone checked the total price lately on purchasing the points on the console? Nintendo charges it in US dollars to the credit card. I was curious what the total cost was and which taxes you have to pay.

Wii points $10.00USD for every 1000 points.

1000 = $10USD
2000 = $20USD
3000 = $30USD

and so on up to 5000 points being $50

I cant find the wii points on the toys r us website anymore :(

EDIT: Nevermind i finally got the damn flyer now to PM tomorrow at Walmart :cool: that should be fun
Aren't you in Vancouver? I just got back from the TRU on Broadway and they had a spitload of Wii pointscards.

I bought 2.

I would have bought more but my credit card bills are getting up there. :whistle2:?
argh what a pain, when i went previously they had none in stock >< oh well win some lose some

I was pretty impressed. Every time I go to TRU for an on-sale points card (MS, usually), they're usually out of stock (last time, they had 1250Pt. Microsoft cards, which didn't seem like a great deal).

So I went today, flyer in hand, figuring I'd have to pricematch at Wal-Mart or Future Shop (where I'd also have to hope they weren't sticklers about the cards being in stock). But the TRU I went to had a bunch of cards, and controllers... I'm happy to spend my money there if they're doing a deal.. vote with the wallet and whatnot... if it encourages this sort of pricing...

Also looks like they're taking the whole dollar-at-par situation pretty seriously. I like to see the aggressive approach some retailers are taking (while Best Buy and Future Shop seem to be picking and choosing).
