Can't seem to access certain portions of forum

Greetings. This is user "the4thnobleman" posting under the account Deya with an issue. I wanted to post it under this account since this person is the one having the issue. After working through a few things and trying some assorted searches through threads/posts using the search option, I am left scratching my head on this one.

This user, Deya...can't seem to access certain portions of the CAG forum, and is instead routed to the beta page where he needs to enter in a code for the beta he has not yet been emailed for. There are a couple of other sections he can't seem to access, but he registered on my recommendation as I have been an avid CAG user(I being the4thnobleman) through most of 2008. Upon joining to catch the deals himself, he found the problem.

Strangely enough, I can access these sections with his account from my unit here. Deya lives in California and I live in Alabama, so im more perplexed than when I started helping in the first place.

Is there a minimum post limit necessary to access that section of the forum and a handful of others? Or is it just some quirk that needs to be dealt with individually?

Thanks for your time and I will post with MY Noble account so theres no trickery or other such business going on. Deya will then post from where HE is, so mods can feel free to cross-reference whatever need be to verify identities and such. He only shared the information to see if I could access what he couldn't, which I could.

Appreciate any and all help!

He's a new member technically, as he's informing me this is the first time he's logged in.
 
Yeah, this is actually "Deya" here. Whenever I go to the "deal" section of the site, I get a box asking me to enter in a "beta code".

Any help, guys?

I realize that, but I CAN'T. Whenever I try to enter the deals area directly, the beta code message pops up...
 
I'm not positive on this, but it could be that if you're clicking 'deals' UNDER the CAG logo that it directs to a section currently in beta and the 'DEALS' to the RIGHT of the CAG logo directs to the basic deals forum.
 
Okay, so the first link worked for me while the second did not. The "deals" link under the Cheapassgamer logo is the one that redirects me to the beta code, while the "deals" link to the right side of the logo takes me to the actual forum.
 
Thusly the actual problem....I could have sworn however that last night, I was linking him to specific threads where he was not allowed to access and it instead directed him to said beta code location.

Any way to disable that "deals" button from being clicked until it's active?

That's unnecessary. But I can see where the confusion might occur. Maybe there is a better way to differentiate between a website feature and a forum, both having the same name.
