can't seem to edit my sig?

For some reason I can't seem to edit my signature. When I go to my profile settings, the little pencil icon appears by every section except my signature; there's nothing to click on to edit it. I've only ever edited my signature once and I'm not even sure how I did it then, but I'm guessing it was that way. Am I doing something wrong?

It's under the User Control Panel... The gear in the upper left.

Lately I've felt very computer/technology illiterate, and this isn't helping. You should've seen me trying to figure out my housemate's iPod Touch yesterday.
