Capcom announces Viewtiful Joe 2 for GC, PS2

3rd party Exclusives on the Gamecube don't make sense, especially when the PS2 is clearly dominating this console generation. I respect Capcom's decision to bring the series to a broader audience. I also respect the fact that they left the Xbox out of the picture, but I won't go into that.
 
I like how VJ1 has been supposed to be coming to PS@ since ever before it was released here, yet there's never been anything from capcom that indicates it

just another crack pipe dream. Like an actual final fantasy on GCN.

Hopefully they'll build it around the GCN and downgrade it for the PS2. I wouldn't like to see Capcom shortchange GCN owners.
 
I wonder what PS2 sales will be like. Personally I do not see this outselling he GCN version by all that much (although people always seem to base things on user base and not demographic).

You'd think that, but it's not necessarily true. Just because there's more PS2s out there doesn't mean their owners have the same tastes as GameCube owners. For example, Sonic Heroes sold quite a bit better on GameCube than it did on PS2 or Xbox. However, the good thing is that we (gamers) win because more of us can enjoy VJ2! :D

I didn't see Dante get mentioned anywhere, and since you posted about it, I assumed it was something I couldn't find. I was in no way saying your question was dumb, mine was.

I'm psyched for the co-op stuff that was hinted at. I'll probably get it for the GC, even though it's coming out for both consoles. Makes me angry that the PS2 Viewtiful Joe has extras, since I already own the cube version and now I want to be able to play as Dante.

D4rkewolfe- I'm rigth with you. LOVED the first, can't wait for the second. Just hard to find time to play it... it just beats me again, and again, and again.
