So I just recently have come out of the audiophile closet, and I need some help in putting together a teeth rattling sound system. My speakers are okay. I'm more curious about what 'm looking for in terms of subs, sub boxes, and amps. I'm not sure if brand is important or who to go through. Money is not so much an issue. I'm looking at maybe $500? Any help you guys could offer would be really appreciated.

I'm no pro here.. but $500 doesn't give you teeth-rattling. $500 gives you chassis rattling, thats what sounds like someone putting a tin can full of rocks on a paint shaker.

Yep, 500 wont get you too far. If you are looking at teeth rattling you are looking at close to $1K!
I would definitely get Rockford Fosgate Punch for the hardest hits, a bandpass box for the best sound, and a rockford fosgate amp.

Notice I said maybe $500? Okay so let's say money is no issue then, what do I need for amp and two subs?

Let's say I'm getting 4 kenwood 12s at 800w peak. What kind of amp am I going to need to power those suckas?
