Hrmm, I've been doing that for awhile with Pocket MSN
MSN stinks and I used to chat on AIM with ex-phone.

I was never vouching for MSN's quality

And if you'd gotten used to AIM on a phone, I can see where having that app is beneficial
What are you going to do with your refurb?
You mean when I get it back from MSFT? Is the custom firmware going to be gone?

You probably aren't going to get your original 360 back.

There's a secret way to see what kind of DVD drive you're getting for hackers like me.

If you did the warranty process online it should say the status of your order with your original serial. When they send it back, it'll tell you the serial number of the new console (or the old one if you're lucky). Let me know when you get the new serial number and I'll tell you what kind of drive you should be gettin'.
I see. If I get a new one back, though, I can get it redone for free.
That's pretty stupid of the guy.

Who's to say that you had two 360s or a friend with a 360 and you told the guy "Oh, it red ringed. Do it again for free."

Dumbass.

Also, you'll be screwed if it's a Hitachi 79 or a brand new Philips.

Pretty soon, all 360 drives won't be flashable.

Quick help OTT. I'm about to send my resume to a company (I have the Job title number). Is there anything I should say within the body of the email outside of my contact information? Sorry, I'm just really new at this and hope I don't say the wrong thing (should I say Dear. Sir or Madam, Greetings, or whatever?).

Body of email = cover letter

and don't address it to Whom it May Concern, if you don't have a contact name

Use 'Hiring Manager' or Human Resources department

I'd say that you're emailing about such and such job posting.
Attached is my resume in .doc (word) format.
Thank you, etc.
Name.

Use 'Hiring Manager' or Human Resources department
When checking out their job applying online, it did not say cover letter was required (resume was). I just preferred to send a .doc file instead of trying to make my resume a .txt (messes up formating). I did put my name on the email. ;)

I saw The Dark Knight.

I like how the audio went out for 5 minutes, around when
Alfred read that note.

I was too furious to ask for a refund.

If they want the resumes as a txt you should just send it like that. Your resume has sections with bulleted items or something along those lines right? That shouldn't be too hard to convert into text.

If you send it in a way they don't want you increase the chances of it getting trashed IMO.

Aaha I'm so doped up on painkillers I didn't realize I posted in the other thread thinking it was the OTT,
TMK, ain't you got a cover letter?
I did one back in English class over a year ago. I didn't do so great on it, but I may pull it up and fix it up.

My Dad has been b*tching at me all day with the resume. I told him I have to at LEAST find the job ID number first (I did find it) before sending, and he kept trying to tell me to just send (basically, I'm emailing their national email, and if I just said "Engineering", that's not going to go anywhere since they are looking for several throughout the country).
Brak, welcome to 5 days ago.
I don't see movies on opening nights, with all of the amateurs who don't know how to behave in public.

Some are well behaved, sure... but the bad apples are rotten to the core.

Dude you are hella smooth.

It was incredible.

They did the paralleling of characters absolutely perfect.

Create a profile, where you had to fill out information and copy/paste a text version of the resume within a textbox.

Send an email with the job title number attaching your resume.

I have things in bold and some special formating to distinguish things, so that's why I wanted to attach it. Although I only applied for one job (that has three openings), I'm coming across others. I may just end up applying to more openings as I go through them.

Anyway, my resume is out there. I say new jobs listed on monster.com, so I may look into them also.
Can someone put the gist of the note in spoiler tags, plzzz?
I think it was just Rachel or the girl saying she couldn't be with him or something corny like that.
Hey Zew explain why drives won't be flashable
Hitachis have a hardware lock to make them unflashable.

There's no custom firmware for Philips (which may be replacing Ben-Qs. They look identical).

I'm not sure if the Philips having any defense mechanism.

Samsung drives are no longer produced.

It was essentially that
she was going to marry Harvey and had no feelings for Bruce i believe.
Can someone put the gist of the note in spoiler tags, plzzz?
She said she was lying about waiting for Bruce. He said he'd stop being Batman when Gotham didn't need him, but she knows that Bruce needs Batman so he'll never stop. She told him that she had accepted Dent's proposal, and it was pretty much "smell you later forever".

That's why Alfred decided not to give him the letter when he said, "She said she would wait for me." because he didn't want to break his heart when he was already hurting.

No, it was that
she was going to marry Harvey because, while she still loved Bruce, she also believed that the day when he could stop being Batman would never come, and she wasn't going to wait forever, since she loved Harvey as well.

Harvey Dent's face looked SO sick.

Too bad Two-Face is a shitty villain.

Well then so it's only those two? Here's hoping to someone making a new CFW for the new Philips.

I wouldn't classify what he represented as a "villain".

And, boy; I was glad that they introduced and implemented the coin in a non-corny fashion.

And I loved the ending, using Dent as a saint in order to save Gotham.
The music cues were impeccable.
There was one long note...that sounded like static that annoyed the fuck out of me...it was shown in the beginning bank robbery sequence and 2 or 3 times later, one of those times was really bad timing and really fucking loud...thought that the speakers were faulty for a min.
Who was it then? I could have sworn someone around here liked Nick Cage way more than they should.

But hey, a lot of his moves take place outside--they're right up your alley.
Linkin.
