I'm pretty sure Hideo Kojima has nothing to do with this game other than stamping his name on it. It's entirely some studio from Spain that I can't recall the name of.
Solid Snake would pwn everyone. (snipes Frankenstein creature in the head)

Thank you. =D

I reallyreallyreally want this game to be good. They're apparently doing it less in the vein of recent portable 'metroid'vanias and more in the style of a Castlevania 4, level by level progression sort of thing.

But it just kinda looks like GoW. =/

He's not working on it in a big way or anything, but just sort of looking over the project as they develop it. But yea you might be right about that and they just threw his name on the project for exposure.

The shipping has been adjusted to $2.99 as promised.

Just my opinion here with anybody sitting on the fence with this title.

Seeing how much money Konami is putting into this game just from a production value with real voice talent like Patrick Stewart, Jason Isaacs, Robert Carlyle and Natascha McElhone shows me that they are totally behind this project. When you soncider that they want Kojima adding his insight as an advisor, you can't help but feel comfortable that this title will have a solid storyline. From the trailers so far, that definitely appears to be the case as it is a great retelling of CV.

Konami really needs a huge hit here as they want to reeestablish CastleVania as one of their top franchises and a huge console selling hit. Other than the handhelds games, they have not had a great track record with sales of the console versions since SOTN. They have had 3 mediocre 3D games between the N64 and PS2 and lest we not forget the very underwhelming Wii fighting game.

As of right now, this game looks very polished and the graphics and sound are just beautiful. The boss fights are epic with Shadows of the Colossus being an inspiration which is not a bad thing. The only thing we don't know is the gameplay and how the controls work? It definitely is getting compared to GOW like everything else that resembles this, but if that is the case, then I am truly excited. I mean we all know how SOTN played like Metroid and that didn't stop anyone from playing it or considering it possibly the greatest CastleVania of all time.

Furthermore, if a respected member like SHC-Gamer says that after trying this game out that it is his most anticipated must play game of the year, what more do we need? I mean he gets insider information and is privy to things within the industry like seeing new trailers or playing demos that we would never be able to get our hands on until much later down the road. With all of the games and trailers that he has seen for this upcoming E3 slated for the Summer/Fall/Winter release, for him to make that claim speaks volumes about this game. I am stoked!!!
This is tempting. If I get Peace Walker, can I turn right around and use the $10 coupon for Castlevania and get that for $50 + the $20 coupon?
I would also like to know the answer to this question. SHC, if you don't mind, let us know. Thank you very much for all you do. I've been loyal to KMart for years, and it's really nice to see you and them turning things around. I got in on the Resonance of Fate deal a while back. Thanks for that!:applause:

Hey guys, the online offer is separate than the Peace Walker $10 coupon.

However, when Castlevania is released in store it will be with an offer as well for instore that will be in the same vein (10-20 coupon).
How hard is it to cancel an order through Kmart, say in the event that a better deal arises? Not sure what I'd do with $20 at Kmart ...
Well, its pretty easy to do :)

But.....as you may have seen this year, Kmart will have video game deals round the clock.
This game looks really cool, but 3D Castlevania has been less than stellar so I have my doubts. Congrats on getting an awesome pre-order bonus though!
I dont know really. It doesnt even remind me of castlevania at all, if you didnt say castlevania then I would have no idea what it was. All the videos Ive watched and such have been nothing that excited me in the least little bit, it just seems very bland and generic overall.

Still 20 bucks off is a good deal for someone that really wants to buy it when it right comes out.
