Castlevania: Lords Of Shadow -- Info & General Discussion
I know, but it feels so cheap lol. I'd prefer to at least use some clutch dodging to just cheesing it.
OK, well, do that one attack with the triangle button where you twirl the combat cross around your head; it takes out a buttload of enemies. Also, if you get the combo, you can do the one where you jump up in the air, charge, and do a ground-pound and kill a bunch of guys.

I am starting to enjoy the game more. It is getting better and more fun pulling off combos. Took a while to get used to the camera, but now I am enjoying the scenery. It seems this game falls in line with most games now. Harder at the beginning when your character isnt upgraded than it is closer to the end.

If you're low on health, just pop that sucker on an enemy for two seconds and fill up. Does massive AOE damage to enemies for very little magic cost as well. To unlock it on the list you have to purchase all the prior light magic spells for relics and it will open up for the low price of 25k lol.

Well, just finished this bitch and the ending was so disappointing. It really sucks too because you can tell they put a lot of effort into it, even creating some really cool sets just for the ending itself. It's just one of those what were they thinking endings because it strays so far from the path and while it leaves it open for a sequel, you have to wonder what the hell it would be about.

It did end up running a little long, too. Like after chapter 8 would have been a good time to wrap it up since things just get weird after that. Oh well, it's a fun game nonetheless.

Everything you said it true- except I found some of the things they did in the last half of the game to be a lot of fun compared to the first half. Granted, the music box deal wore on a little too long.

The beginning of the game really bugged me how you'd see a door, and the game would say "How are you going to open that", and a big bug, or boar would appear. The first time it was kind of a tutorial thing, but after that it just seemed like bad level design.

Yeah, that was weird how you'd have to inspect them ever after to trigger the event lol. I guess it was done so that you could choose your own pace for clearing any enemies first. The second half of the game was 50/50 because after you leave the castle the environments get pretty bland. Half the appeal for me was how awesome the backdrops are and chapter 10 to 11 felt uninspired and superfluous.

Looks like that corrupt save patch is finally out. Turns out that if you were to press select and the PS button or disconnect your controller during an auto-save, that's what would do the trick. Now I have to ask: why wouldn't they make this public to avoid having more players get screwed? Instead of just saying 'an issue that effects a small number of users' just tell us what not to do. Considering I plug in my controller to charge if I need to get up and do something, it's a very real possibility that I could have fucked up my save when I played through. I know I would be super pissed if it had happened and they knew why but didn't alert us.

Disconnecting your controller is one thing...but to press select AND the PS button at the same time seems like a complete fluke. I doubt I have ever and will ever do that, especially during an auto save. Might just be me, but pretty much any time I ever play a game while it is saving, I make sure not to press many buttons.

And I am not following you, just happens that you psoted to two games I am or will be playing soon! HA

Wow, that took a long time. I was backing up my game saves after every session to avoid this; I was scared that I was going to hit this bug the whole time I was playing...

Does anyone know if the DLC will be worth playing? I bought this game when there was a $19.99 deal going on and thoroughly enjoyed the game. However, I don't think I'll ever play through it again to complete everything. (I've done some completing but not a lot.) The first DLC seems kind of boring, but the second DLC that's supposed to take place after the conclusion of the game seems interesting. Think it's worth trading in?

So a few things as I just got into this and I'm on level 2-5 now. First is easy when does Resurrection hit PSN? I saw it on the Xbox but not on the PS3

Secondly any tips for a new player? I'm playing on Knight and finding it pretty difficult. The lack of healing between levels it he real kicker, as I'll barely survive a boss then have a sliver of health trying to get into the next level. (and usually no or minimal light magic to try to heal)

learn to dodge/block better

Yeah. I have that part down on normal enemies, it is the only reason I have gotten as far as I have. (I survived the entire last level with "one more hit you die" in health)

Am I the only one who thinks this game sucks? The controls and camera are vey clunky. Little to no creature variations either.

I'm only on chapter 2. Does this game get any better?

Ive been running around in circles for almost 30 minutes trying to find some purple crystal shards. I feel like I spend more time trying to find where I go next in this game than I do the good stuff. Maybe its just me.

i dont like it that much either. i hate that fixed camera shit because unlike the gow series a number of the camera angles suck and make it way too easy to miss things.

i will go back tp finish it at some point but im in no rush. i liked the 2 ps2 castlevannias better.

I posted my thoughts after playing the demo. It's a pretty movie with bad gameplay shoehorned in.
