Okay - please read this carefully.

In the 12/09 CC AD... They have following listed for $59.99 (regular price) but in the store sign display it says they are 50% off. BE WARNED, As soon as I purchased my games they removed the sign.

HEAVENLY SWORD PS3
STRANGLEHOLD PS3
UNCHARTED PS3
TIME SHIFT PS3

You MUST find the sign in the store for this to work. The sign is usually in a standee near the gaming section. The sign says above the image 50% off these PS2 games. But the pictures shown with a BIG "SAVE 50%" is in the middle of the 4 PS3 games listed above.

They have to do the correction at the register. I am assuming this mistake is country wide because I don't think each store makes its own art.

There is someone on SD who said they saw it in lincon, nb. I am gonna head out and see if I can score uncharted.

Save me the trip, though, the guys there tend to be nicer, at least when I'm there, two people always asks me if I need help and sometimes search the whole game section for me.
 
Had the display at the Liberty, MO store. I simply asked about it and they said 'they don't even make those games for ps2 you can get them for ps3.' Didn't have Stranglehold but I picked up Uncharted. They adjusted the price at the register after another rep went and grabbed the sign.

$32.xx with tax, yes please!
 
Any other store I'd venture out to try this, but not my local CC. Good for you though poster!

My store has numerous times not honored displayed prices. LAst time I was there I found a bunch of games in one of their locked display cases with handwritten prices. After finally finding someone to open the case they won't honor those prices. bahhhhh.
 
I went my CC and they just said "no". This is for PS2 games only. So I explained to them that the sign said "these" games on it. I put up a fight for about 5 minutes and the employee finally leveled with me and told me his manager would not let him sell it for that price. The manager was to busy to come and talk to me about it. They took down the sign after that. I am going to e-mail them about it. Isn't the manager job to settle disputes with customers not the employee.

To those who are saying they're "bait and switch" --- it doesn't say IN THE AD that they're 50%, just an error in the sign-age. So where's the bait and switch there?
 
I saw the same sign on Sunday at CC in Plantation Florida. I knew immediately that it was an error, and I laughed. I was considering Uncharted, but after playing the demo (which I thought was good), I wasn't willing to put up a huge fight even to get it for $30. I can wait.
 
I went to the CC today in Harrisburg Pennsylvania. I was looking for the sign but couldn't find it. On my way through the aisles, I spotted Ninety Nine Nights for 16.96 (It was still marked as $30.00 but I knew it was 16.96). Well took another look through the signs in the middle of the aisle in between the Movies and Video Games. Loe and Behold I found the sign. It look's really shitty like a poorly printed out piece of paper. I asked a sales person to open up the cabinet to get out heavenly sword and Uncharted. I took those up to the cashiers but there was only one open. The girl scanned them and I said "Wait I thought Heavenly Sword and Uncharted were 50% off?" She said I don't think so, they just came out recently. I was like shit I get a girl that actually knows something about videogames. After waiting for her to go through the sunday ad which I knew it wouldn't appear in, I was sent to customer rep. I told the girl there that these games were supposed to be 50% and that I'd take her to the sign. She automatically realized it was a mistake and it meant ps2 games. She took it to her manager. He was like "oh crap..." He said he could give me 25% off of one of them. I was like "I don't know.....". Then the girl said "he wanted to get two of the games". The Manager was thinking for a second and then said "Yeah we'll take 25% off both of them, sorry for the mistake".

Knowing CC and how they don't honor things, getting them for $45 each wasn't bad. I was going to get them during the buy three get 1 free deal, but fuck having to get 3 games just to get 1 free. Thanks OP.

Why the hell would you pass up on Uncharted for $30? Even if you ended up not liking it (doubtful) you could resell it on ebay for $50.

I own 10 PS3 games, there's 3 that I consider 'must owns', Ratchet, Uncharted, and Warhawk.
 
I stopped at the small one on my way home from work, i never actualy saw the sign, but some guy saw the sign and instead of running with it he asked the douschebag employee and was like "i think its a mistake" s the cc guy 1 asked cc guy 2 who immediatley rips the sign out and is liek o im sorry its a mistake, and we both already had the games in our hands, so we asked if they would honor ours since we already saw the sign so he went to verify with his manager, we were both just grabbing one copy of Uncharted so it wasnt going to kill them. So they did eventually override the original price and let up get them. So at the end of the day i got uncharted for $30 and cant really complain.
 
If anyone lives in Arlington, TX, I saw the sign up at the Circuit City there. I was very suprised to see it was still up.

I very badly wanted Heavenly Sword but with all this Christmas shopping, I'm broke!
 
Does anyone have a picture of how the sign looks? I just came from another CC and walked around the entire place looking at every sign and advertisement they had and found nothing.
 
I scored uncharted for 50% off today; shocked the sign was still up. I was visiting a nearby town and totally forgot about the sign until I went back to snatch up a copy of elebits, saw the sign and realized it was my CAG duty to get at least one of those games. The advertisements for uncharted looked excellent, so I got that. The manager had to get involved and initially said no, then I pointed out the sign to him once again (initially said PS2 games only; which ps2 games, all of them? lol), he ran off for ten or so minutes came back and gave it to me for the 50% off AND I got the gamer's club discount on top; so got it for $26.99 + tax. Funny part about all of this, I don't even have a PS3.. I'm sure someone at work wants it and I'll sell it to them (for less than retail but maybe a few dollars more than I paid for it). Oh, the sign was taken down after I got my 50% off.
 
I went to 4 different Circuit City stores and couldn't find any signs. I walked around the stores several times to make sure I didn't miss anything. If anyone happens to go, can you pick up a another copy of Uncharted. I'll pay for it plus the shipping cost. Help out a fellow CAG.
