Does target pricematch? If they do, can you use a gift card on a pricematched item. I have some $$$ left over on a card and I'd be cool to spend it on a $40 Star Ocean.

Nice - hey TC do you know if BB or CC have any TV sales over the Labor Day weekend? You know, the sales where all TVs are 10% off, stuff like that?

Thanks for the ads - there are a couple things I'm definitely going to pick up!

Jeremy

A true CAG surely can figure out a way to turn a gift card almost anywhere into cash ;)

From what I've heard, Kingdom Under Fire is supposed to be a really good medieval Dynasty Warriors type of game, but I thought it got pushed back until later in September. Not sure it'll be out next week. It retails for $40 I think. So, that's an excellent deal. Thanks trust!

OMG Star Ocean 3 for $39.99 at CC. I'm going there Sunday right when they open.:D. I'm probably going to EB today and get Phantom Brave since they only have two special editions left.

I think it's worth saying that the 95% for Kingdom Under Fire is based on one review. So keep that in mind, although I think the game does look good, it might be wise to wait for a couple more review scores.
thanks for the post!

damn soul plane is on dvd already? that's how bad the movie is eh? heh
Did it look like it might not be terrible to anyone? Seriously?
Bah, now I wish I had picked up some of those nice rainchecks last week for FFX-2 and GTA double pack.
Star Ocean for $27.99 sounds like a great deal to me ($49.99 - 44% FFX-2 raincheck). Unfortunately the local Target didn't have it yesterday, but I'm going to keep checking until they do.

If only they'd carry Phantom Brave as well...

i don't think target will be getting star ocean. Im going on the assumpting because two employees from different stores said they wont get it.

then again, im holding my cards out because they looked over a release list only, and that list had fable for two monthes ago.

Im still betting they get in star ocean tho, its a square enix game, so why not.

rite now im playing threw star ocean 2, wow what a great game. a little hard but fun all over.

Ugh... terrible sale week for video games... 95% of the advertised stuff is either retail price or 1 dollar and change off.... I expected a much better showing for Labor Day week...

KUF hasn't gotten some great hands on reports at IGN. It was said to be playable on LIVE early on, but I don't know if that is still true...

I assume the new releases are "available Thursday" in the ads? Hope Target has Burnout 3 next week. I'm hoping to snag it with a %51 off rain check I've been saving....

Star Ocean 3 at CC looks nice, probably can get it for $34.99 after GGC (my local CC is pretty good about accepting it). Might pick up Matrix Revolutions for $10, just gotta figure out what other DVD to get with it, maybe Blade 2.

Thanks for the list tc! I don't know how many would have the dedication to keep posting this week after week :)

I saw Star Ocean: Til the End of Time at my local Target here in Raleigh yesterday.

Kingdom Under Fire is the game I'm most looking forward to this year. It is an RTS/RPG. Some of the best information on it is available off of gamespot. Unfortunately, it is not being released until September 20.

I am glad I sold my copy of Socom 2 with the Socom Headset on Ebay last week. With the price drop to $20, the combo probably would not have gone for as much as it did.

I told myself I would pick up Prince of Persia 2 months ago! Still haven't gotten around to it.

I might swing by Best Buy and GGC either Jak II or GC, if they've dropped the price. Wish Target would carry Phantom Brave....

Thanks so much trustcompany!

Sucks for prices on Clerks X and Rounders SE (not even at Best Buy) both are selling for the normal prices, no sale.

Clerks is $25 on the website too....thus, no sale price. Looks like I will be taking my DVD buying elsewhere.

Jet-Li: Rise To Honor is a Greatest Hits already?
Just last week it was for 39.99, that's a major price drop. Just wondering if this is true since Circuit City seems to be the only one posting Rise To Honor as a Greatest Hits this week. (uh... next week :D )

About that Kingdom Under Fire 95% review...it comes from Play magazine, which continues the old DieHard GameFan tradition of giving every single game under the sun at least a B, so I'd be at least a little bit cautious. There are so many great-looking games coming out for Xbox and PS2 over the next few weeks (hell, months) that if you're on a limited budget, I'd wait for more reviews to roll in. Just my two cents.

Also, anyone wanting Burnout 3...EB games (B/M) has a $10 mail-in voucher available with purchase, although it will retail for $49.99.

I picked up RDR when it was $49.99, right before it went to $26.88 at Target a couple of weeks ago. PM'd down to $24.57.

Now, if it's down to $19.99 at BB, it should PM down to $19.54.

CC uses the PM'd price from a prior PM as the starting point for a new PM, just in case anyone was wondering.
i have the FFX-2 raincheck. i wonder if i can use it on GC games and new releases. can i?
You SHOULD be able to use it with no problem. In fact, the last week I had a raincheck for PS2 Red Dead Revolver and I used it for Zelda Four Swords on GC. The cashier was new so a manager had to help him ring it up. The manager took a look at the raincheck, and he wasn't sure if I could use it on a GC game. So at this point I was a little nervous. But when he asked a higher-level manager, that guy was all like "oh yeah, that's fine."

But then again my Target is REALLY good with rainchecks.

And with new releases it should be fine too. Just realize that if the game is on sale, you will take the % off from the NORMAL price, not the sale price.
I'm all over SO: TTEOT. Price match at BB, with GGC. Oh - so many things to buy, so little money.
I was just going to ask that, about how much would that come out to? I don't really want to use my target raincheck, but I think it'd come out to almost the same using the above method. I was thinking of about 30 bucks.

Thanks for the post. For the peeps with the $10 coupon from the latest PC Gamer mag, you should be able to get Doom 3 for $35 at CC.
i have the FFX-2 raincheck. i wonder if i can use it on GC games and new releases. can i?
I used one to get Pikmin 2 for $27.xx yesterday . . . a Driv3r one would have made it a buck cheaper . . . and they ran out of D3 on Fri. but I was in such a hurry I couldn't wait to get a clerk and missed it

I also didn't follow my own rule of always having the game sent upfront. I got this older woman clerk who (despite my politeness) is always mean and nasty. So, she rings up the game and I say "I want to do a substitute with this raincheck." She says, "not on this game, you can't!" I just stand there so she calls her manager on the walkie talkie . . . I only hear her side but she's explaining her objections all flustered . . . "blah, blah, but Final Fantasy was $29.99 and this game is $49.99 . . ."

I can tell the manager's side is basically, "is FF still out-of-stock" . . . they don't have it. "Give him the discount" . . . So, she rings it up.

I said "thanks for your help" with a smile and left . . . no gloating.

Red Dead Revolver, $19.99 at Best Buy!?

Definitely time to pick up a GGC and get that one, then! :D

Damn, I was hoping for Pokemon FireRed to be $30 or less at BB. I already reserved it there to get some book, so now I have to price match it from CC and get it for $28, instead of the $25 or less after GGC I wanted it for.

Does the original game still need to be out of stock? I wasn't aware of that wrinkle.
