I can tell the manager's side is basically, "is FF still out-of-stock" . . . they don't have it. "Give him the discount" . . . So, she rings it up.
Does the original game still need to be out of stock? I wasn't aware of that wrinkle.
No, because it says right on the rain check that you can substitute a game for a game, but some managers suck and will give you a hard time.

phew Star ocean will be mine at target for the price of 27.99 with my 48% raincheck, and fable also with my raincheck. and what happens if the game is now in stock that u got the raincheck for?

Some managers piss me off, sometimes I want to just karate chop them in the throat so they will stop spewing made up rules and guidlines for buying a sale item

*not brave enuff

Im new to thuis raincheck thing, why have the game sent up front instead of paying for it at the electronics?
Im new to thuis raincheck thing, why have the game sent up front instead of paying for it at the electronics?
Some of the people in the electronics section act like asshats when it comes to using the rainchecks for substitutions, especially on sales items. They tend to be a little anal about allowing the substitutions on the rainchecks for different items, even though it's stated plainly in the text of the raincheck.

It's usually easier to send it up front and deal with a "normal" cashier, though the electronics clerks tend to want to know why and give you odd looks. At least, they do around here.

Thanks. I've never done the Target raincheck thing before and want to make sure that I know the rules before trying it.

$27.88

Kingdom Under Fire (i've personally never heard of this game, but it already has received a 95% ranking on gamerankings.com)

Woo-****ing-oot! I was planning on getting that game (looks great from the previews), and now it's going to be on sale for $13 less than it's retail price? Even better! Though yeah, I thought the game was delayed...but either way I can just get a raincheck for it. And yes, it's supposed to have full Xbox Live play: up to 4 players total with any combination of teams (including free-for-all or 2vs1), and each player still gets a large army to command. You even gain experience from battles you win online, so it's a bit RPG-ish, too. Anyone who liked Dynasty Warriors at all should check out this game.

But I have a question: if it's not out yet and I get a raincheck for it, can I just use the raincheck on Star Ocean 3 to get it for $27 since it's on sale for $40 this week (same as KUF's normal price)? I'd prefer to get KUF, but SO3 wouldn't be a bad substitute :p (edit: oh wait, SO3 is $40 at CC, not Target...hmm, then that probably wouldn't work...but I guess if nothing else a GTA:DP raincheck would have the same effect, since it's on sale for the same price but retails for the normal $50...of course, what are the chances that Target would be out of GTA:DPs?)

Can't use raincheck substitutions on items already on sale. So no, you couldn't use a raincheck on top of the sale price for Star Ocean.

Edit- oh yeah, Star Ocean is $40 at CC. Then yes, you could use a raincheck substitute for it at Target.

I thought about buying Missing at Best Buy for $14.99, but I decided that eventually someone would have it for even less. And now I see that Circuit City will have it for just $9.99. If I did a price match somewhere else, would they lower the price even more? Sometimes they do that if they have a lowest price guarantee.

Looks like $24.99 is the best deal for Clerks, but it is three discs. You can get a signed version for ten dollars more, but I think I'll pass on that.
anyone know when Target will get Star Ocean in? I got a rain check to use.
Target (at least around here) tends to get new releases 2-4 days after street date for everybody else. Some titles take even longer than that. For Star Ocean since it is a Square game, but still a more obscure game, I'd imagine you're looking at about 4 days after your local EB's and Gamestop's get theirs.

Clerks can be had cheaper at DeepDiscountDVD.com or Amazon.com

I may just go that route. Although, I think there is a $5 off coupon if you buy that and Jersey girl at once....but I'll pas son J.Girl

Didn't even know about the special edition of Clerks until today. Guess I'm getting that on Sunday.

I want Clerks X but I want Burnout 3 more. Too bad there's no deals for it anywhere other than the usual GGC.

Nothing to get a boner about, but Star Ocean and Chessmaster @CC is looking pretty good. A couple good DVD prices as well.

I'm all over SO: TTEOT. Price match at BB, with GGC. Oh - so many things to buy, so little money.
I was just going to ask that, about how much would that come out to? I don't really want to use my target raincheck, but I think it'd come out to almost the same using the above method. I was thinking of about 30 bucks.
GGC with a PM is supposed to be HIGHLY YMMV. (We're talking abou PMing CC and then using the GGC right?) To get it for sure, just take your GGC to your local CC and they should accept the GGC coupon. I just called mine up and they said they would definately accept it.

Well that's the most acronyms i've ever seen in one post.

1) Harvest moon for GC (25 dollars!) at Target is very good deal, but I already have it.

2) Kingdom Under Fire very good deal, I wish it will get some great reviews.

3) Surprise not many places advertise Pokemon.
Oh man great deals this week. I wonder why they dont release Eddie Murphy's Delirious on dvd.
yeah....ive never seen delirious and only hope that it gets released on dvd...i know you can buy vcd's of it off of ebay, but i dont want that crap....as for raw, i watched it on vhs not too long ago and its still one of the best stand-up performances ive ever seen...im happy as shit to see that it finally got transferred over to dvd...

there once was a time that damon wayans was funnier than hell too, and i remember watching a stand-up performance of his a long, long time ago....i have no idea what it was called, but i wish that it would show up again, somewhere, some how

I need Mystic River and Last Samurai for $20 at CC. I'm also tempted by Equilibrium and American History X for another $20.

Harvest Moon is at a good price, but Target already had it on sale for the same price about 2 months ago :?

I saw that Kingdom Under Fire is advertised at Target this week. I thought that this game doesn't come out until the end of the month. Anyway, it's a good deal since EB has it for $39.99. The KUF is a Dynasty Warriors Type game but IGN's hands-on article is very positive. Game could be a real sleeper hit.

Pre-order info for it on EBGames.com doesn't have it coming out until the 20th:

http://www.ebgames.com/ebx/product/243962.asp

Gamestop shows an ETA on it for 11/15/00  :
http://www.gamestop.com/product.asp?product_id=210626

So I bet they don't have it, and I know I'm going to get this, though it's raincheck time for that one, no question.

They'll probably have some disclaimer at the store that says it's not out and whoops, we messed up.

Some very good deals.

Red Dead Revolver is a great game and well worth the 20 bucks.

Rise to Honor is also one of the best beat em' ups made this generation.

I just hope I can pick it up at BB for $14.99 ($19.99 - $5 GGC), since the copy I bought at CC (which I hadn't opened yet) was $24.57 after PM's, so saving near $10 on it is well worth the hassle of bringing it back.

Someone asked about Best Buy having a sale on TV's this weekend. I received 3 coupons that are at least 10% off and have to be used over the weekend for their Labor Day sale. There are some restrictions but they are not too bad.

Holy Moly!!! wow there are a lot of great DVD deals this week. thanks again Trust.

I might get

$29.99

Unsolved Mysteries: UFOS (sounds interesting, i'm into all of that alien stuff)

$24.99

Clerks. X

$12.99

Underworld
Star Trek Generations
Resident Evil (w/ free ticket to see RE: Apocalypse)

Sometimes, yes. Call another Circuit City in your area if you have one.

How is Jak2?

I got RC:GC for Christmas and loved it (beat it twice!), but I think that was because of my urge to level up the weapons. o_o;;

Would it be worth it to try and get Jak2 for $15? :whistle2:/

On a side note: Back when my computer died 'cause of a virus, all I had to play was copy of Red Dead Revolver I rented. It was rather fun, and I enjoyed it quite a lot. In fact, I'm even thinking about picking it up, despite beating it twice already. ^_^

I personally really like Jak II. It's definitely on the difficult side, but I still think it's a great game. Definitely worth $15-20.

Looks like I'll finally be buying Ratchet & Clank 2. :)
is it true that if i PM CC paper at BB they wont give 10% off? cause i asked the lady at the cashier.
I think they will only give 10% off after the fact, but I don't have much experience with this.

Ratchet & Clank will be mine... if I can afford it. I blew 200 bucks Friday and I need to keep back cash for gas and stuff, so I might have to wait until next paycheck.
