I don't know why, but i decided that i'd go look up the thrustmaster controller up on Dell's education site. And guess what? It's 13.83 with free shipping! And i can log in? This might actually work!

Status:
I used a spoof email address and a throwaway credit card from paypal to test it out, and guess what? It gets all the way to the order confirm page. So, if people want a great controller in time for brawl, i think this might do the job.

To make this work, click this:
http://www.dell.com/content/default.aspx?c=us&cs=RC974521&l=en&s=k12
Then search for A1302857. You'll find it.

Again, if people want a review.
I can't find it and that link won't work for you?
How did you get on the site?
i mean, i tried using a spoof email address(using guest checkout), and i got all the way through to the confirm order page.(i don't have an intention of buying it right now) Im guessing that means this works.
thrustmaster? Sounds like some sort of sextoy....
I thought it was something you strap around you're waist and attach the Wiimote on the end...lol

anyways, is this better than the gamecube controller? It looks pretty ugly.
BTW, anyone think the classic controller is good for SSBB? I heard you should stick with the gamecube controller.

if you have a wavebird then definintely stick with it. this is more of an alternative for people who do not want to use the Nintendo Classic Controller, otherwise I'd just stick with my Wavebird.

yeah, wavebirds work pretty well, but i can't find them anymore. I only have 1...

Review from tankexmortis:

Got mine. The analogs are fine. I'm really liking it - in most cases it's better than the CC.

Pros:
1. Usually much more comfortable than the CC (see Con #1).
2. Excellent d-pad. I actually prefer it to the CCs.
3. Wireless and small.
4. No annoying octagonal things around the analog sticks like every Nintendo product has. This means that you don't get the sticks stuck in one position if you push them all the way. Now if only there were a nunchuck like this...
5. Remappable buttons are a godsend. Why don't official controllers have this feature?
6. Rumble is surprisingly good - on par with the GC controller, and can be turned off to save battery power.

Cons:
1. For some reason there are some weird indents on the grips so that it's hard/uncomfortable to keep your index fingers on the shoulder buttons. Other than that, it's much more comfortable than the CC.
2. The analog sticks sometimes don't respond immediately - you have to push them a bit farther than with the CC before they register. I've only noticed this on the VC though, when playing SSBM it wasn't a problem.
3. Face buttons are a bit weak - no resistance at all. This isn't really noticeable once you start playing, though.
4. Conversely, the shoulder buttons feel sort of hard to press, probably due to the analog functionality. If you're playing a shoulder-button-heavy game like Starfox or Sin & Punishment you may want to use the CC instead. Still better than the GC controller though.
5. The dongle (what a great word) flashes constantly if the controller is turned off, even when the Wii is on standby. I unplug my dongle when I'm not using it. Heh, "unplug my dongle".
6. Kind of weird that it requires 3 AAAs instead of 2 or 4 AAs.

I haven't used the turbo feature as I've been mostly playing TG-16 games with it anyway, and the slow feature is the awful press-start-repeatedly function that older controllers had.
Overall, for 20 or even 25 bucks I'd heartily recommend it if you don't have a CC. If you do have a CC, it's only worth it if you want to remap buttons to more easily play games with weird button layouts.

You don't have to unplug the dongle, just leave the controller alone for a minute and it'll go into standby and the light will shut off.

Those shoulder buttons killed that controller for me, though. In VC games, they don't really register unless you press them harder than I'd like to. D-pad isn't too awesome either, and I wasn't a fan of how tiny everything on the controller is, and how close things are to eachother.

For the VC, the CC + Nyko Grip is better, in my opinion, and the savings on buying the Thrustmaster controller are negated if you factor in buying AAA rechargeable batteries for the thing. If you absolutely need a wireless GC pad and the Wavebird isn't an option, it's not all that bad.
