CD deals Black Friday
People still buy cds?
No kidding, people still read books too apparently.

Gotta go, The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes is playing on the radio.

:applause: Outstanding response!

However, with that said, I do love old time radio shows and I will soon be breaking out my CD boxset of old time radio Christmas shows.
People still buy cds?
Yea, but no one should be buying them new. Buy used at secondspin.com or local used cd shops. They will be dirt cheap and best of all no proceeds go to the record industry.
What CDs going to be $6.50 at Target?

So far I believe...

MJ - Bad
Prince - LotusFlower
I think Glee Soundtrack - Volume 1 will be $6.50 at Target (maybe Best Buy). I'm a CD buyer, I like physical media.

A lot of the bands I listen to are on independent labels or even their own. I don't mind supporting them. The major ones, yeah, they can die.

Rise Against - Siren Song of the Counter Culture
$4.99 @ Best Buy

It's my favorite punk rock album. Since it's such an old album, I'll be walking in sometime later in the day to pick it up.

If you listen to music from bands that contribute to the "record industry" such as the RIAA, you listen to shitty bands and need to find a taste in music.

Wait, so a band is only good if they are some underground indie band?

of course, and youre only cool if you wear all black, male makeup and cut yourself to see if you still feel. lol!

the majority of the people who listen to indie bands are for the most part social rejects, through my experience anyway. and you have to be some kind of retard to describe your personality, social stature and "cool" factor by the music you like, who the hell cares if youre listening to 'generic indie group A' or 'mainstream pop band B' and why the fuck are your making fun of other people's music taste.

plus last time i checked "DVD, Blu-ray, and HD DVD Deals" did not include Music CDs.

Wow. So wrong.

I buy new CDs and then sell them on Ebay. Usually I'll end up paying $1 or 2 to ahve the CD on my Ipod and someone else gets cheaper as well.

That's what MTV is trying to sell you alright... so keep buying into that image that makes you unique, buy music at Target and Walmart!

Wow, so bands that belong to a major label are all shitty? Thanks for the memo. I'll be sure to stay away from The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, The Red Hot Chili Peppers, David Bowie..................etc. etc..
So anyone got a FULL list yet which CDs are cheap Friday?
FWIW, the Best Buy $4.99 sale is in effect at bestbuy.com, albeit without free shipping.

We don't have a CD section so I think this is the best section for CDs. If not here, 'Other Deals & Requests' I guess.
Looks like there is an upcoming lightning deal; I am praying to God it is for the Apple Mono Set for no more than $150.

The stereo set is currently on sale for $177.49
On the music calendar it says it will be $99.99. I'm guessing it's the stereo set and for that price, I'll finally jump on it.

Good catch, lawdood. Now I am debating if I should get it or not. I just got in on the $197 HP laptop deal on Amazon; but if it is the mono set for $99...I may have to bite...not for stereo though.

Remember when Circuit City would mark ALL their cd's down to around $9 apiece on BF? Ah, those were the days.

Also, old-time radio shows rule. Jack Benny FTW.

Dang, should have looked for that calendar. Bought the Beatles Stereo Boxed set as a gift from Amazon yesterday. Had googled and didn't find any better deals. Oh well.

If I recall correctly, the calendar didn't display the price until this morning...but of course I didn't check the calendar frequently yesterday anyway.

Nah, it's stated that price since at least yesterday morning when I saw it.

if you paid $180+ its prob worth buying again and returning the first one

Sweet, got the Beatles for $100. Been eyeing this since it came out and always said $100 was my sweet spot for picking it up.
if you paid $180+ its prob worth buying again and returning the first one
Already missed the deal, and it was a gift and was shipped to my parents. Oh well, I was fine paying the $170 whatever for it yesterday, so I won't lose any sleep over it.

Bought a ton of stuff on Amazon the last couple days, but I can easily say that this Beatles Set was the highlight. So happy I managed to get one!

Yeah, me too. I just really doubt we're going to see it for less than that. I don't think any store has enough inventory of it to hit clearance or anything.

That was a great deal for those of you who got in on it.

I have had all their albums for 15 years or so and could not pull the tigger for an upgrade. It was very very tempting but I was able to resist. I kinda wish I had ordered it now.
