Early next week, we’ll be integrating additional community features into PlayStation.com. We are excited to roll-out the first phase, which includes the ability to sign-in to PlayStation.com and, soon after, PlayStation.Blog with your PlayStation Network ID. Of course, your PlayStation Network ID gets you access to all the good things on the PLAYSTATION 3 and PSP, including games, movies and TV shows on the PlayStation Store, online gaming, and, soon to come for PS3, PlayStation Home.

Game Detail Page

In addition, we are making enhancements to the gamer profile features. Your profile will include your PSN online ID, your avatar, and a short “about me” section. You’ll also be able to display your friends list and, on the game detail pages, you’ll be able to include ratings and reviews for all of your favorite games. These features were created so that you can make new friends, learn new tricks and tips, talk trash, offer advice, console the defeated, praise the winners, and more.

If you have an Underground account on PlayStation.com and haven’t already merged it with your PlayStation Network ID, click here to do so. If you don’t have an Underground account but would like to create a PlayStation Network account to participate in the new features on PlayStation.com, click here.

We decided to dissolve the PlayStation Underground program in order to provide more PlayStation fans with a glimpse into the PlayStation Network world via the web. We hope you enjoy this next step in the evolution of PlayStation.com.

Stay tuned; before this year is over we’ll have more enhancements for your gamer profile.

Although it sucks to see there may be no more PlayStation Underground, IMO, it really needs to go to a single sign-in name for everything. I wish Sony did this around a year ago when they started doing PSN-ID sign-on to the Official site, but I'm glad they are making changes.

I'm VERY glad to see the PS Blog will require PSN-ID sign-in.
So there's not going to be a G.A.P. anymore?
From the looks of the corner of the screenshot, it may still be there. However, although I'm a G.A.P. member, it's really not needed like it use to be. Last gen SCEA was really using it, but now it doesn't seem as meaningful to them anymore. Personally, if they aren't going to use it, just let it go.

True, the GAP page hasn't been updated in ages. All I got from GAP was a Metal Gear Online beta code and a T-shirt.

Back in November we introduced the ability to sign in to PlayStation.com using your PlayStation Network login credentials. Currently you can see your online ID, your avatar, and view your friend list. You also have the ability to get your Portable ID for use on forums and social networking sites.

If you haven’t already signed in to PlayStation.com using your PSN ID, you’re definitely going to want to tomorrow (sign in here). When we introduced PlayStation Trophies last year we promised we would be extending the feature to the web. We are near ready to release our first phase which will allow you to view your PlayStation Trophies on PlayStation.com with all of the details you can see on your PS3. Later this year, we’ll enhance these features giving you the ability to compare and sort trophies in new ways.

Here’s what you’ll see when we go live tomorrow:

Awesome news for sure. :D Glad to see this is the next step.

Yes, I've been wanting this. What I really like about unified achievement systems is being able to browse my gaming exploits when I'm doing something less enjoyable than gaming.

checked it out today and it is a very welcome addition. bad thing though is that this gives the xbots even more to talk about. it would be really great if psp games start to support trophies as well
I noticed that my recent trophies from 2 days ago haven't updated to the website yet. =(
Have you done the manual trophy sync from the PS3 XMB? I'm not sure why this isn't done automatically, but it's just another Sony quirk.

Also, it appears that you have to be signed into your PSN account to get trophy info. As of now there's no way for web developers to grab trophy info for use in custom gamecards or other things, which is disappointing.

Jeff at the PS Blog stated it won't be available just yet, since they still have more to work on.

I want to know why the hell it's stuck as PST for when I get trophies. Why can't it be based on my time?

And off topic, DAMNIT MANA! STOP CHANGING YOUR AVATAR!

Seems like a step in the right direction. I think Sony is finally starting to catch up (but still behind) Xbox Live. Nevertheless, Im happy playing on ps3 online for the most part.

Synching is just checking my trophies from the XMB right Mana? How quickly are your trophies updating -- within a day, within a few minutes?

I'm just waiting for them to release some kind of auto-updating image like the 360 gamertag .png images.

Mine synced within 15 minutes, this morning.
So basically EU users will get true Xbox-style gamercards with recent games and trophy information. I surely hope that US users get this feature soon.
Well, it's back and forth between SCEA and SCEE. SCEA beat SCEE to friends list online and gamercards, but SCEE came up with a more unique Gamercard. Currently SCEE is teaming up with Playfire which will put PS3 trophies on gamercards:
http://www.cheapassgamer.com/forums/showthread.php?t=216912 (discussed in this thread)

I have a feeling SCEA will have trophies on the gamercard, but will do it themselves.
I'm just waiting for them to release some kind of auto-updating image like the 360 gamertag .png images.
Well, initially Playfire had an auto-synch, but you had to provide them with PSN-ID information. Since many didn't feel safe using that method, they have disbanded it and have teamed up with SCEE to synch it seems. SCEA will probably do it too, but they might be seperate from Playfire (Playfire is more European since many of the people involved with is are administrators at PlayStation Universe).

I just made one of these from the European PS site:

I know I'm not from the U.K., but I decided to try.

Keep in mind those are my last three played games, and I did not manually enter them.

Looks like it's the "about me" option in your PSN profile.

There wasn't a Soulcalibur option for favorite game. :[

I figured out that it's not the last three played, but the last three games you've earned a trophy in.
