not sure how many people remember my thread (which I would have just bumped but couldn't find it), but I had a thread a few months back about a kid who bought a code from me on ebay and left me positive feedback and then a month after issued a chargeback on paypal, (claimed he was so so sorry and his dad found out he was using his dads credit card or whatever). anyways, paypal found in his favor and gave him his money back and charged me a $24.99 chargeback fee on the $5 code.

now fast forward to yesterday (or time travel back in time whatever), i randomly get a $4.99 "chargeback reimbursement" with an email saying that paypal found in my favor (wtf?)

has this happened to anyone else? will I possibly be getting the 24.99 back as well? :)pray:) or will the $4.99 possibly be disappearing again and this was just a mistake?

Its most likely that the company that his dad started the chargeback through finished their investigation and found that it was the kid and refused to do a refund. Only solution I could think of in that scenario

should I try contacting paypal to reverse the chargeback fee of $24.99 then? or is that impossible / is the fee just charged for them having to investigate it in the first place?
