An interesting note brought up in the thread is that you can also order titles if in store if you can't find them there. The sale price doesn't show until the cashier rings up the deal.

I special ordered my Excel Saga Imperfect Collection last friday, which was the same "1C" thing for $89.99. And considering that I doubt I'll get my copy before the 16th, I hope I don't have to pay full price. I was told that if I wanted to special order it, I had to pay for either half or all of it then, and I also had to pay an extra dollar for shipping. So I payed for half of it, when I originally thought I had to only put $5 down for it.
 
I was told that, as long as the order is placed before the end of that sale date, they would still honor that price. Also, I've never had to pay a fee to have them special order anything. Crazy how policies seem to vary by store...
 
KingNES, I sent, rescinded, then sent another PM. I decided to shoot a polite email to the customer service at FYE.com and see if they can help me out. I think it's just dumb that as Kirin Lemon stated, the polices vary by store but should be uniform. In the meanwhile, I can enjoy the Slayers the Motion Picture dvd I got. :D
 
Message recieved and no prob at all. I shot down and grabbed my robotechs remastered vol 2 thru 7 today9.99 a pop, joy and a half!
 
I didn't knnow the remqastered versions were $10. Might get the original Robotech saga then. I'll have to think about it.

By the way, did you get your Excel Saga box yet Nirvana?
 
Well, I made it back up to Bowling Green, to see if they had actually ordered the stuff I asked for (I didn't leave a deposit, so I had my doubts). I gave my name, and they had a vague recollection that they ordered, but were only able to get a few of the things, and they said they'd have to look for where they put the discs. I went to look around, snagged DDR Ultramix 2, and came back to the front to discover that they had gotten in 6 individual discs from 2 box sets that I ordered (3 discs from each), each of the discs costing more than the box set. I passed. I guess I am meant to do without.
 
Finaly got my Nadia 1 Collection. Think it only took like 2 months. Had the second collection a good 6 weeks allready. Worse thing is they never even called me I just had the feeling to call and they had it.

Technically you are right, i had to order it twice. The girl who said she would order some for me was pretending to be a high up/manager or somthing and didnt place the order correctly(she tried to order them thru the computer). Out of the 4 orders i placed hers was the only one that never appeared. It took 3 weeks from my second order of Steel angel kurumi and Excel for it to arrive.

I got my getter robo dvd in the mail and I talked to one of the guys from work, hes doing a merchandise request for my excel saga.

- Excel Saga 1C Collection(my store had 2 for some odd reason)29.99

Ordered Today:
- Comic Party 3 (Still need #2 and the girl said there wasn't any in the system. Suggestions?)
- Crying Freeman Compilation C (Is it worth it? Is it the complete collection?)
- Gunsmith Cats Collection (6.99 is this the entire collection?)
- Gravion V2, V3 (Are 1-3 the complete series?)

Maybe some experienced Anime CAGERS could answer my questions up there. Also everyone list which other sets I should get still please, there's only a few days left!?

Okay, Comic 2 is OOS, I checked repeatedly. Ebay or a local gamestop is yer best bet

Freeman is the whole series and so worth it it isnt funny, get it ASAP

Gunsmith Cats Collection is the whole series as well, a bargain buy indeed and worth every penny

Gravian is a 3 disc set indeed.

I think Gunsmith Cats was totally out, at least last I checked (this was a month and a half ago or so, about when the sale started). But you can get it for the same price at Rightstuf.com.

also bump for last day

i got my last order all paid for when i picked up my newest order that came in today. i have so much anime now.

also, did you know that if you buy anime there and then later return it without a receipt, you can get FULL credit back? So if you bought Noir discs 1-7 @ $9.99 each, you'd only spend $70. But then when you return them, you'd get $210 back in store credit. And that's just ONE series. my manager told me that.

I'd do it (I mean, I bought like $300 worth of anime that has a potiental $900 in-store credit deal), but I'm keeping my series because I'm more of an anime freak than a video game freak.
 
Man, I just read your post. I haven't really checked out this site in quite a while. :(

Too bad for me. Was this just a clearing out sale? Wish I would have checked my FYEs. Of course I buy all my anime at Suncoast and Best Buy cause the FYEs by me have crappy titles. Like half of there anime is Dragonball Z and Rurori Kenshin/Samurai X.

Oh well. This kind of reminds me of a sale one of my local Sam Goodys and Suncoasts were having.They were closing down and put all there anime like 50% off, and 75% the last week they were open. They got picked over, but I managed to get liek 3 volumes of Hellsing and 3 volumes of Steel Angel Kurumi out of it. :)

But than of course I bought the Steel Angel Kurumi perfect collection when it came out and sold my individual Steeel Angel dvds. heh

Man, I hope they have another sale like this. Was it only on ADV dvds?

Cause I got mostlay all the ADV sets I want. I'm, basiclaly just tring to get some Bandai and TokyoPop anime series.
