Cheap DSL Router?

This is definitely a YMMV-type of thing, but last week I went to Office Max looking for a router, and they happened to be clearancing out that kind of thing. I got a 4-port Microsoft router for $15 and a cable modem for $35, which isn't too bad. They had a lot of other things on clearance, and the manager mentioned that the prices were negotiable. This apparently meant that if you asked him, he would take down the price a few dollars.
 
Office Max has a sale on an Xbox live compatible router and its good till Saturday. I think its a Linksys DI-604. Its in the sales circular.

It also has firewall included.

That D-Link DI-604 router is very good, I have one and it has worked perfectly for 2 years, but I think you can do a little better on the price. I've seen it for cheaper than that after rebate, and if you can wait, it is usually available for the same price as on the office max site without any rebates. Still, that's gotta be the one to get for price vs. performance.
Quick question for everyone: I am going to be switching to DSL soon from Roadrunner at home (my mom wants to save some money, I know RR is better) and it will be Frontier DSL. You can still use the router to hook multiple systems up to the internet right? I know DSL uses a phone line, but does that connect to some sort of modem from which I could connect to the router by an ethernet cable? Thanks
 
I bought the D-Link 604 Re-Certified (fancy word for used and checked to work) Router about a year ago, and I haven't had any issues at all, it worked straight out the box, updated its firmware setup my ports, and I haven't touched it yet. I bought it from Tiger Direct for 30 bucks. D-Links are extremly easy to setup, a monkey could portforward on a D-Link 604 among other things. I'd suggest going with a D-Link 604.

A DSL modem is just like a cable modem except with out the cable. Instead of cable it uses a phone line. The output on a DSL Modem is Ethernet (CAT5) and USB. So you'll have no issues connecting to a Router.
 
We got a deal for 24.99 per month for Sprint DSL. Pretty sweet! We went to one of those workshops for Sprint, and I won a Magnavox DVD player! Woooo! We also got 2 $50 gift cards.
