cheap DVD recorder

I looking for a cheap dvd recorder to record some chows off my tivo.

Any places with good deals on dvd recorders?

Yes and no. Lite-On is a fine enough brand for PC optical drives, but their stand alone DVD recorders leave a lot to be desired and in fact Lite-On announced a month or two ago that they are leaving the DVD recorder market entirely.

This is one of those situations that you get what you pay for. "Cheap" and "dvd recorder" typically don't go in the same sentence if you want quality.

I recommend the Toshiba D-RW2. I got it for $85 on Black Friday and it works really well. It's simple and easy to use.
