I'm looking for a place to dump a ton of mp3s and I don't want them on my computer anymore... anyone know of any good deals on an external hard drive? Thanks!

Nothing except that buying a cheap enclosure and putting a hard drive in is cheaper and you choose the size of hard drive. If you buy an 120gig external hard drive and pay $150 for it, you could easily buy a $30 enclosure and buy a 250 gig hard drive for $120 (there are deals but you gotta find'em). Enclosures are an infinitely better option.

Yea like everyones been saying, buy an enclosure and a internal hard drive.
You can get a 250 gig hard drive at Sams Club for $130 with no rebates. Haven't checked online prices yet as i'm not quite ready to buy one just yet.

I was just going to post that since I just came from Sam's. I also saw a 120 I believe for $90 or so. They were both Western Digital.

I love the 160 external seagate drive that I got from Fry's not too long ago for $100 or so. Great product and easy to use, other wise just go for the enclosure option.
Wow sounds like a nice enclosure. I think I'll get this later. It even has a fan.
These are BY FAR the best enclosures you can buy at semi reasonable prices. However, they are a bit expensive as far as enclosures go ($25 for average vs. $40 for this)
If only it was also Firewire compatible I'd be all over that enclosure
You mean this? Its awesome but so $$$. Only seen it on sale twice in over a year and those were 2 day sales.

Id stay away from Maxtors or WDs. Maxtors are loud and WD fail way too much. Seagate is my personal fav. Quiet, solid, great warranty. I tend to get the 160gb for about $50-$60 after rebate.

I can't say western digital or maxtor have problems, but I can certainly recommend Seagate hard drives also. I think they all have at least a 5 year warranty, and mine has been flawless for almost 2 years now. I'll have to remember that enclosure someone posted too, that looks nice!
