That seller is clearly a retard, because they're claiming the list price is freaking $1299.
Anyways, this thread title made me laugh, because it's going to be a long time before the words "PS3" and "cheap" belong in the same sentence, unless that sentence is "The PS3 is as far from cheap as possible." Similarly, the words "PS3" and "good" also don't belong together, unless separated by "is not."
If you're looking to spend $400, then just get a premium 360.

You're probably going to have better luck looking for a 20 GB in that price range if you're just going to be using it for blu-ray
i was planning on getting one for the same reason. theres basically no way you're going to find a 60gig model for much less than $600 unless it "fell off a truck." and i know theres even less of a chance of finding a 20gig model at all other than ebay, considering every store i've checked with doesn't even carry them anymore.
i've just settled with VGA cables and the 360 to upconvert dvds for anything that doesn't come out on hd-dvd. granted, its not really high definition, but for having to spend a minimum of $600 to watch movies in HD, it'll do for now.

126 CompUSA stores are closing down. 20% off PS3s and Xbox 360s. So you can basically get a 60GB PS3 for $480. There's a thread on it in the main forum.
I've seen some mad dealz on craigslist and my local Used Victoria. One guy had a used 20GB model with wifi adapterm four sixaxis controllers and a few other accessories plus 3 or 4 games for I think $800 Canadian. Which is really good considering the ps3 is 699.99 or 649.99 depending where you go.
