looking for a cheap xbox so i can softmod it and run media player on it, and does anyone know how big the max size hd i can run on it is?
 
Don't know, but I have a used one that the disc drive is crapped out on. If you were going to replace the drive anyway (which I'm assuming you are if you're going to mod it), I want to get rid of it since I have a 360 now and have no interest in modding or anything. If you're interested, PM me.
 
New: Kmart (and possibly Sears?) are clearancing out their remaining stock for around $123, but good luck finding one at this point. If you make some calls, you might be able to find a EB/GameStop/Gamecrazy that still has one left for $179.

Used: EB/GameStop has them for around $110.
