Cheapass ram needed.

You can usually get 512mb kingston ram for 65-70 if you look (kingston was selling it for that recently). I don't know much about pc's other than how to put them together, but I know kingston is good quality. I have no idea if others are better though.

Good thing you put cheapass as one word, I'm surprised nobody else has posted the implications of what the title would have been with that extra space. Seriously, Kingston is a highly rated brand of RAM, as are others like Crucial and Corsair. I'm using some generic brand RAM in this computer and even that works fine.

In this lower end memory, it's all about the same. Viking, Kingston, Corsair, etc. Only until you start getting into the high end sticks (cas 2, etc) then does name brand really matter, and even then it doesn't make that much of a difference. I run Corsair in one pc, and Kingston in the other, and haven't ever had a problem with either.
