Most big name retailers have some sort of bundle going on every console most of the time. Some, like the Metroid bundle, are everywhere since it comes all the way from Nintendo.
The warehouse stores like CostCo are pretty much guaranteed to always have a bundle that gets you a second controller (or accessories for portables) and one or two games.

well im thinking of getting the 69.99 gamecube thats preowned cause its the cheapest console i have seen( new generation) when i buy it, is that all i need (besides the game)? do i need to buy other stuff for the gamecube? also, it says its Refurbished. whats that?
also, are there any play where a can get a cheap moded ps2 or xbox? sorry if this is illeagle or not

Okay, well the refurbished bit means that it's used but it's pretty much like new. Besides the cube, you gotta get a memory card (any gamecube memory card will do.) As far as a cheap modded PS2 or XBox - Don't bother with the XBox modding since (I'm assuming you'd use it for imports) it has no worthy imports. The PS2 I'd just buy normal and then get a solderless modchip from modchips.net or something.

its good that xbox is worth modding, xbox is the best console to mod because its so universal. you can get a used console, from ebgames or something like that, check the drive and make sure it isnt a thomson, modchip is 40 max for the best. soldering for xbox is as simple as it gets.
so its worth the modding if your going to do anything like that playing backuyps and stuff

from what i have heard,modding consoles is illegal because the consoles are copyrighted and that would be tampering with their property. but don't take my word for it because i am not positive,but you might want to do some research on it before modding.

1) Dreamcast is amazing. It has all the good fighting games - most of them are little known such as Project Justice.
2) Modding is not illegal, it's just discouraged by companies because it allows one to play bootleg games. It's legally okay. You're thinking of the store Lik Sang I think which is in Hong Kong or something - not Japan (it does make a difference where it's located.) Anyway, if modding was illegal, then there wouldn't be nearly as many stores out there with modchips as there are now.
