Cheapest deal for Invader Zim?

JokerCard

CAGiversary!
Hey!

Im looking for the cheapest deal on the invader zim dvds.
I heard about this economy or fan pack but im not too sure about that set as most places have it listed with only 3 discs....and im not even sure if they have the special features on them....

The box set seems to have everything inclusing the bonus disc....

Just askin

Thanks!

I own the house set, which looks to be about $120 (it's always been pricey). My girlfriend bought me the three volumes and the box seperatly cause it was cheaper, and it's the same as buying it all together. If the 'fan pack' has the three dvd's just stuck in a carboard box, you might do well to just get the house and that pack.

Total would be $47.86, dang good for it all. But I don't know for sure that the fan set is actually the same...

So does anyone know anything about the economy set?

I would love to get it as long as the extras are still intact...

Im not sure if the Economy pack has the extras. The only real extras were the audio commentary, interviews, and the pilot episode (with Billy West as Zim). Not sure what Media Blasters normally does with econo-sets.
Supposedly this is 18$ at walmart.
Confirmed. I saw it at my local WM a few weeks ago. I think it was either $17.96 or $18.96.

Damn great deal if that's the case, but is there anyway to get the extras disc?

You can buy it with the house at DVDplanet, but it costs more than the economy pack with the discs. The Economy pack is like 19 and the house with extra is 26. You can use the 10$ off google checkout to make the entire purchase around 35$.

Looks like the are OOS right now though.

If you can't tell, I'm a huge Invader Zim fan. In fact it's my favorite cartoon, ever. I bought all three volumes as they came out at Wal-Mart for $15 a pop (2 disc sets though so I didn't feel bad about it). So $18 for the entire series is a steal!

I still haven't got the house box though. As much as I love the cartoon, it just doesn't seem like a necessity. I might buy it sometime in the future.

I saw this yesterday at FYE and was surprised to find out that the special Features are listed on the back so im guessing they have em!

Im be grabbing this set when I see it again at a cheaper price.
I've heard so many good things about this show but I've never seen it. I really want to...
You haven't seen the show? HAVE YOU THE BRAIN WORMS?!

I just snagged a copy of the Complete Invasion Fan Pack from Best Buy for 18.99, which is a phenomenal deal in my opinion. I've already got the three volumes and the house, so this is going to be a gift.

It contains a cardboard box with 3 DVDs, each in their own respective full-size DVD cases (i.e., not thinpacks). It also says on the back of the box that it does have a lot of special features - commentaries, Irken subtitles (heh), Pig commentary, Fanboy commentary, Interviews, animatics, and Spanish Language. Which almost makes me wonder what is missing from this set. There's a chance the third disc doesn't contain the "Resisties" episode.

In other words, this is an incredible deal. Paying twice as much would have been an incredible deal. While I don't know what is missing, I will say that I would recommend this to absolutely anyone.

Hopefully we'll get more word on what is missing from this set (if anything - one of my friends suggested it could use doublelayer DVDs, meaning it would have everything the original 6 disc sets had).

New to the series but heard a lot of good things about it got it at Walmart for a little over 18.00. Watched the first episode and I am liking it. Great deal for 6 DVD set.

So the fan pack comes with 6 dvds?

If that is the case, it comes with everything.

Yeah I just checked and it is a 6 DVD set., Each case is a double case and contains 2 discs.

Hot damn.

No reason at all to buy them individually at this point.

Thanks for the confirmation!
>$20 for this entire series is a fuckin' STEAL.
Well that's great news since this is

There is huge confusion over this set.

This Complete set has the original 3 DVD voulmes that were released previously with all the extras that were included on those original discs.

The house extra disc is NOT included with this set. NOT included.

Also, can I get confirmation that BestBuy B&M has this set for $18.99?
Online has the price as $24.99

Ok, let's see if I can clear this up a bit.

You can buy the house in two varieties - with the extra disc only, or with the extra disc + the three volume discs. The extras disc can ONLY be bought in this manner, and the content on it is ONLY on the extras disc, meaning it's not spread across any of the 3 volumes.

If you go for the one with only the extra disc, then you can now get this fanpack, which includes the original 3 volumes, each with two discs, so 6 total. I was originally thinking it was going to be like an anime thinpak release, which generally only include episodes and no extra content like commentaries and such. This is not the case - it has all the extras found on the original volumes, with the exception of the house extras disc, which can only be bought with the house.

I hope that clears it up.

Also, JokerCard, it was indeed 18.99 at my store. Don't know if that's YMMV, but I was surprised at it's low price as well.

So again, just to be clear... can someone post the link to the cheap version of just the FanPak? I would much appreciate it as this thread is very confusing. Thanks to whoever helps (helped) clear it all up.

wait..so all the actual episodes on the 6 discs and the extras on those discs come to a total of around 18-20 plus tax...but the little house thing with the bonus extra disc is 26+ bucks? what's so great about that house thing?

I'm failing to see why this is confusing. It's a different price B&M. That's pretty standard fair with CAGness, as I've ordered things online to get a better price with in store pickup over the B&M. So I imagine it would work vice versa as well.

The fannpack is cheap for 715 minutes of pure awesome. It's essentially the same price as a 2 hour movie. Here you're getting nearly 12 hours of goodness.

Just go to Best Buy and pick it up. Maybe I had a YMMV, but I sorta doubt it.

It's not like I'm talking about some secret version of the fanpack.

The house is basically a box to store the individual volume releases (1 through 3) in, plus it comes with a special features disc and a Grr action figure.

I just checked and it's in stock at Buy.com for $30, making it $20 with Google Checkout! I caved and bought it, I doubt I'll find it cheaper than that, plus I already have an Invader ZIM action figure so I need to complete the dysfunctional duo. :D

As I said, my favorite cartoon, ever. :)

If only Nickelodeon would release the Angry Beavers on DVD now...
Does the house set come with all the episodes?
Theres two different house sets. The one with the extras disc & Gir figure and the one with all 3 of the original volumes (2 discs each) and then the extras disc (7 discs total). Obviously the one with all 3 is going to run you a lot more.

I think its around 20 universally now, it was even 20 at FYE.

but my friend let me borrow his copies so yeah Im good.

Damn Nick for cancelling their only other good show.

I just opened the third case and noticed that it comes with a Voltron dvd too, I didn't see this mentioned yet so I thought I'd throw it out there.
