My local Toys r Us had about 7 of the old 12 month cards for $20 each so check out your local one.

Check your local Sears. Sears has old xbox live kits (the code works on 360) for $10 or less. It is the one with Crimson Skies as a pack in game. They've sold out at the stores I go to, but you might get lucky.
