I remember buying my last one at Newegg for 49 bucks. You pay no tax and they email you the code in less than an hour.

it will sometimes be on sale for $35 now and then. Newegg had it for this price last week for black friday. It seems to go on sale for $35 every couple months. If you need it now, though, I'm not sure - i think Amazon had XBL for 15% off this week.
