[CheapyD Video] Japanese Nintendo DS Vision Training Game

9 & 10 on the first mini-game got a good laugh out of me when I saw how quickly they went. God damn, I wonder if I'd be able see it well enough to guess correctly if I had the game. Love playing that type of game now and again though.

That's pretty cool. Wouldn't import it, but I'll buy it if it comes out here at a Brain Age price point. Thanks for the nifty preview, Cheapy.

good review, another classy video cheapy. looks very fun. too bad they don't bring stuff like this to the states other than brain age and big brain academy.

Nice video, as usual. :applause:

That baseball mini game really makes it look like there could be potential for a good baseball game for the DS using the touch screen. The DS needs more good sports games.
Very nice video, Cheapy. Although I would of liked to of seen more mini-games in action.
Wasn't his fault, he only had 2. It was a demo.

I'd buy this.

Thanks for the vid, Cheapy--I'd get the game if it was released here.

One note about the vid quality, particularly the lighting: the lower screen looks washed out when you were playing the baseball mini game. Couldn't tell what was happening.

Great job otherwise.

That looks great.

I am the MASTER of that cup game (thanks to the original Mario Party, which I played incessantly when it was first released). I'd buy this just for that game alone.

i thought the first game looked great. baseball looked only okay though. i'm also curious about multiplayer. i loved the multiplayer on brainage and wished that there were more of it.

Yes, it's a demo. But at the end of the video it looks like he has 6 mini-games to choose from.

Or maybe I'm just crazy?

I picked this up the other week at Softmap and have enjoyed it. Once again, not a typical "game", but it is fun, and the sports games are good. I like the boxing & ping-pong the best so far. If you get a chance, pick it up.

No, that was showing other minigames you can play if you buy the full version. Just an advertisement (like the whole demo). In the actual screen where you select games there are only 2.

"Here's some of the other games I guess that you get in the full version, this is just a downloadable demo."

"Let's check out the other game that's on this demo."

;)

No CAGcast this week, whats up with that?!Good video cheapy.Didnt really care for the game.Good video, though.

your videos are looking better everytime. good quality, perfect positioning of the camera to DS and nice editing. well done.

EDIT: nice! your video is already on Kotaku :applause:

I like the whole idea of sports games in that demo...seems pretty interesting how the implemented the baseball (but do the runs count?)

It actually doesnt look that bad. Very surprising.

If this was $20 and released here i'd think about it. Especially since Fry's would probably have it for $15 the first day.

I thought this game was going to be just a bunch of whats different in this picture games. Like that part in Illusion of Gaia for SNES.

So does anyone know why this hasn't hit the front page of Digg? Has Cheapy's account been blackballed by the folks at Digg as blogger spam?

Kevin Rose will probably be at E3--you should talk to him about it, Cheapy. Or you could deck him. That video would make the front page of Digg.com for SURE! :) OK, maybe that's not your style...

I've been playing the Japanese full version of this game for a few weeks now and it. is. awesome.

Far superior to any of the other "improvement" games - it's a lot more fun and feels more like a video game to me. I'd say it's just as much a reaction game as it is a "vision testing" game.

Way more fun than trying to lose at rock, paper, scissors
