CheapyD's Third Bloomberg TV Appeance - YouTube inside (11/12/06)
Sweet. Is this gonna be more about the holiday season or the new consoles?
Actually, I'll be speaking about my new pasta sauce named "Cheap 'n' Tangy", coming soon to a supermarket near you.

I'm not actually sure what I'll be speaking about. All I've been told is "PS3 and the gaming industry".

if it does air I guess I will cap it (this time quality should be better since I got s-vid input set up rather than composite), and of course if it doesn't air the chatroom will have a lot of confused CAGers going nuts. fun either way
I'll be back on Bloomberg TV, talking about the video game industry at 6:30pm EST Sunday night (11/12/06). I can't guarantee that it will be shown in America, but I checked the Bloomberg TV schedule and the odds seem good.

You can check out my previous appearances here.
hey Cheapy good shit man.

just advice from someone who has dealt with these kind of assholes in the past, a "thanks for having me" will get others to want to have you on their stations.

The thing is in 2 days and they haven't told you'll be speaking about? That doesn't give you much of an opportunity to prepare. I always thought when you did these things you at least got the questions in advance. Anyways, I'm sure whatever they want you talk about you'll do fine. You know your shit, Cheapy.
I always thought when you did these things you at least got the questions in advance..
Never. Last time they asked me to prepare some topics for converstation and I did. However, they didn't use any of them. I did the same this time...we shall see.

For real?

Though the name of that pasta reminds me of my ex girlfriend.

Good morning, or good evening depending on what side of the world you are on. I've just a wonderful breakfest of yogurt and a banana and am about to jump in the shower.

I think I will wear a suit for this appearance as I think it is more in keeping with the Bloomberg style (and I've run out of nice shirts).

Nice suit. Too bad you got that tool interviewing you again. Remember you can view the stream on their website.

Did they start that well before 6:30, or was that just an exceptionally short bit?

Good job, Cheapy. These just keep getting better and better. Next time I expect a top hat and tails. Maybe Amazon will pay for it since you're throwing names around. :)

And boy does that guy like to shuffle papers and pound away at his keyboard.

"Cagcast CEO" - very nice, I love how the title changes each time. I think that one's the keeper though.

amazon will see a lot more pre-orders from now on....

is it just me but does the suit give CheapyD the whole "Lex Luthor (circa: Paul Dini's Adventures or Superman)" vibe
What does the last thing he says to Cheapy mean?
"You have fun watching this space."
lol i have no clue what they guy was referring to.

The paper shuffling was really annoying. And why is it this guy seems real twitchy? Like hes got ants in his pants or just really wants to get this segment over with. Just seems odd.

Cheapy needs his own 15min segment. Throw wombat in there too.
What does the last thing he says to Cheapy mean?

It means the "Video Games Space". People in the financial world often refer to different sectors of business as "spaces".

Cheapy's been holding out on us with his Tokyo-based online game retailer. :bomb: You did a good job considering the interviewee you had to deal with. You seemed a little nervous, possibly because of the lack of preparation for the show, maybe?

I was waiting for that guy to start gnawing on his pencil while asking questions.

It seemed like this segment went a lot smoother than the last one. The guy looked like he was actually paying attention to your responses.
Did you have pants on during the filming?
Why would he?

I like the other interviewer, there's something about this guy that I find annoying.

Sorry, I LOLZ @ your intro, "Chief Executive of a Tokyo-based Online Game Retailer".

You should've corrected him by saying, "No sir, I'm the Uber-chief executive badass and complete pwner of the fabulously successful cheap ass gamer website...ahthankuverimuch".

Could dude be less informed and interested in you or video games. Nice suit though Cheapy.
And boy does that guy like to shuffle papers and pound away at his keyboard.
Thats the damned truth. "uh uh I hear you like vida games David uh uh so sony making money on the PS3?"

Cheapy: "No they're losing $200 on each console. All I can say is

Your name is David!

PS3 comes with ALL the bells and whistles, as opposed to the Wii or Xbox 360 which only come with some of the bells and none of the whistles.

Really good job. You articulated your responses really well and they seemed well thought out.

The one thing I noticed was that it looked like you didn't swallow often enough and you eventually had to take big gulps of saliva a few times.

Yeah, he does that a lot. It can be a little distracting, but whatever.

He handles himself on camera better than I could ever do.

Was that interviewer flapping paper around or crumpling paper balls in front of the mike? I kept hearing tons of paper noises whenever the camera went off of him. also he was banging on the desk waiting for cheapy to finish talking a couple times. He could care less whats going on as long as the camera stays on him and he doesnt have to talk more about "electronic video thingies"

cheapy keeps getting better at this, its too bad no one on tv is willing to actually plug your site and drive some $$$ your way.
