Hey guys,

I'm looking for a good deal on Chrono Trigger (I've seen the upcoming BB ad has it for $30) or another good DS RPG (I have some long breaks between college courses this semester and I commute, so being stuck downtown for 6 hours in the winter can get pretty boring...)

Some of the other ones I've been interested in was The World Ends With You and Final Fantasy IV.

Any other suggestions and deals would be appreciated.

Thanks!

I've looked into it, and thought of it as a game I may enjoy, but do you know how good it is length-wise? And does it use the touch screen a lot? I might play it on the bus here and there...

It is pretty long and the puzzles get more difficult as the game goes on.

Sounds good... I may have to pick up a couple games now... I've been on the fence with Layton since it was released, but I think you just pushed me off. :)

You might consider Final Fantasy III which is pretty dang cheap right now, and just wait for further drops on the more recent games. Chrono Trigger has been around for 10 years already, it's not going to be any less awesome in another 6 months. :)

Mario & Luigi: Partners In Time is a fantastic RPG---still one of the best games on the system (and Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga for GBA is well worth picking up too). And of course, Phantom Hourglass is a great action RPGs. Disgaea is cool if you like strategy RPGs; The World Ends With You is marvelous, though very different from other RPGs in both setting and combat; Etreian Odyssey is cool is you like old-school grinding.

Hope that helps!

Layton is the best game on the DS. I've never had more fun with a DS game. Granted, I had played Chrono Trigger on the SNES, so if it had been my first experience, maybe it'd be different. But Layton simply must be purchased by anyone who likes enjoyment.

It uses the touch screen exclusively. No mic or button input.

I have PiT, but I've never gotten around to beating it. I've restarted it a couple times, but I always end up going on break during school and never picking up my DS during those times.

Awesome suggestions, guys. Thanks ^.^

definetely, one of the best and unique games i've played

Im playing The World Ends With You right now and its an awesome RPG. A nice change up from the standard style of play and story. As for the touch features they are the primary way you battle and are used in one of the funnest ways Ive seen on the DS..... sooo just my two cents

oh ya and as far as time goes... its your call as you can change difficulty and your level at any time to effect what enemies drop and whether or not you need to spend additional time leveling (Im also a DS RPGing school commuter with a lot of dead time so I feel you on that)
