Circuit City and $12.99 PSP Capcom titles (major YMMV?)

Hey everyone, just thought I'd share something interesting I noticed while at a Circuit City store today. More specific, it was the store located in the mall known as Carousel Center (Syracuse, NY). While browsing the PSP section, I noticed quite a few new copies of 2005-2006 Capcom PSP releases, titles that were not there a few weeks ago. The games were Darkstalkers Chronicle: The Chaos Tower, Street Fighter Alpha 3 MAX, Capcom Classics Collection Remixed, Ultimate Ghosts 'N Goblins, and Viewtiful Joe: Red Hot Rumble, all marked at $12.99 each. There were between 3-6 copies of each title in stock. I don't know what the deal is, weather Capcom reprinted these titles, or if there was a recent distributor warehouse find, but I'm assuming this might be very YMMV since most of these titles have been long out of stock at most retail stores.

You think they might be reprints Capcom issued after the surge of PSP hardware sales following the redesign?
 
Probably reissues, because I think these were all clearanced not too long ago and when they were reported here on CAG, I was not able to find a single Capcom PSP game in stock. I actually picked up SF Alpha and Ultimate Ghost and Goblins two weeks ago when they had that sale of games for $9.99, which included God of War II for the PS2. I was surprised that they were in stock.

I think Target is going to have an upcoming ad w/ the Capcom PSP games pictured and listed for $14.99 each.
 
These have been this price for at least 2 months at all Circuit Cities. Target has a lot of these for this price, or lower as well.
 
Circuit City has put a lot of those titles on sale in their weekly ad as well (over the past couple months).

Tue, but I did notice a recent re-ship of these titles last week. Inluding the PS2 Capcom stuff like RE Veronica and DMC.

I need to check CC again, then. I've been hoping to find the DMC Pack.

Re-ship? I thought the point of a clearance was to clear out old stock... just sell them and then get more in.

These are not on clearance. The $12.99 price is the regular price now and , if in stock, should be available in all CCs. IIRC, this was previously reported by Donnums in April.

Anyways, thanks OP. Good to hear they are restocking these.
 
Ah...Carousel Center. I really miss that mall. I went to Syracuse University from 1990-1994 and I went to the Grand Opening of that mall and won a trip to see Syracuse football team (back when they were still pretty good) play at Boston College. 2 tickets, airfare and hotel. It was awesome.
