CAGiversary!
Since Speedy isn't here for a couple of weeks, I thought Id give you the CC flyer in the style of Speedy's ad posts.

NOTE: If anyone has any of the other flyers, please lend a hand. I only receive the CC flyers in advance and would need help on the others such as BB and Target. I will be sure to give you credit for your work. Happy shopping!
What's the ++++ after Burnout Paradise refer to?

"Burnout Paradise >>>> $59.99 ++++"
Whoops, fixed that.

Its for a free unlockable vehicle.

I'm also confused about the Endless Ocean price. Thought it was a $30 title.

EDIT: Checked a couple places, MSRP is $29.99.

Half price strategy guides? Hmmm...

What the shaq-fu is this Endless Ocean game?

I just watched the trailer on youtube - you just scuba dive with various fish and feed them fish food? Is that all?

Do you hunt for sunken ships/treasure, or get attacked/eaten by sharks at least? Do you at least get to go spear fishing, or carry a knife or spear gun to fend off sharks, or what?

Not a typo on my part for Endless Ocean....Must be CC gouging on the clueless Wii owners or a typo on their part.

I've seen "HALF PRICE ON ALL STRATEGY GUIDES" printouts taped to the video game section with the guides at every Circuit City I've been to the last couple of weeks. It's a single sheet of paper with "1/2 OFF ALL GUIDES" on it and a picture of 3 guides, one being Zelda Twilight Princess, and I think Uncharted and something else.

Yeah isn't it like a Circuit City Racer or something to that effect?

There's a few guides that are worth full price or half price, though they're not usually stocked at CC.

Oh I agree 100% Shrike. That's why I passed on them...unless we're talking $5 and under for a guide, no thanks. Just wanted to note it's been advertised in store for a couple of weeks now.
Yeah isn't it like a Circuit City Racer or something to that effect?
Yes...There's a picture on the ad...Its like a Hot-rod type car that red and has the CC logo on it.

Some guides, like RPG guides, they're worth grabbing at above cheap prices, mainly because they tend to disappear, though most guides, they're not worth the paper they're printed on.

"50% off all PC games $19.99 or less"

That is a great deal. There is a decent selection of $19.99 games right now. $9.99 will make them even better. And this means the $9.99 PC game section will be only $4.99!

Does anyone know if CC carries the collector's edition hardcover Prima guides for Twilight Princess or Mario Galaxy? If so, then this could be a good deal.

However, since I can't find either guide on CC's site, I'm guessing they probably don't. They do list a TP guide on their site, but it appears to be Nintendo's paperback guide.
Im tempted for Conan and Splinter cell for the PS3.
I'm in the same boat. Hopefully Best Buy has some similar prices so we can all take advantage of the $10 coupon.

I remember reading somewhere that essentially, Endless Ocean is what video games aren't supposed to be. You don't have anything to do except explore and relax. The fish and sharks don't even mind that you're there. However, Famitsu gave it a high score because it's so different and relaxing.

Agreed, there could be some good deals with this.

No you just swim around and update your index of fish...like a Pokedex. Looks very humble and zen like. If I had a Wii I'd snatch it the first day.

Okay, I saw 2 different "deluxe" looking Twilight Princess guides there (CC in Culver City - hahaha CC in CC), MSRP was $30 on them. This was...last Wednesday the 9th I believe. This was right after I spotted the half off sign on all guides, since I wanted to see if anything was worth buying. I thought about getting these, but I'm not a big guide person and $15 each is still too much for my taste, hardcover deluxe collectors etc. be damned.

I'm assuming these are the guides you are referring to, if so yes they do have them.

Note that one was goldish and I think one was bluish, with I believe the blue one being an updated guide. It's definitely worth it to check out your local CC or CC's if you're looking for deluxe/collector's guides.

Cool, I need to de-stress. Doing nothing but scuba-ing around checking out sealife seems pretty damn relaxing, particularly if you can't get away to do it in real life, at least no time soon. If I could only find time to play it.

Nothing for me this week. I have a huge backlog that I really need to tackle so this is a good thing (espically since I just got a PS3)
the 5 dollar deposit for turok works for 360 and ps3 joker.
Figured as much. Just wrote that the PS3 one was the the pictured one.

Yay. Wii in the ad. Man, I hope I get one, but i'm somewhat doubtful >< I don't wanna camp at night T_T

Thanks JokerCard.

Thinking if I should buy NBA2k8 for $32.99 or get XBL off Buy.com for around the same price. BTW I'm still on my free month. :bouncy:
$39.99 for NFL Tour aready??? That can't be good!
Ouch, must have sold horribly (no thanks to the bad reviews).

This could tank quicker than Beowulf. It will probably be $19.99 in a couple of weeks!

What, no No More Heroes? That worries me, I just figured every place would have it. Anyone know if the Burnout code will be like given out on a card or will the employee just tell you it? Either way I'm sure it will be something like CircuitCity, but I'd like to have the card anyway if possible.

I'll be checking out the PC section before Sunday to see what might be interesting, but we should really get a suggestions list going for this. Puzzle Quest kicks it off, but what else is there?
