Circuit City could pull plug on "$40 off of $199 purchase" on-line coupon soon?

RUH ROH, CAGs!

At the bottom of all 3 coupons, they just put in the text "Circuit City reserves the right to end this promotion at any time." ...and that wasnt on there yesterday (which was when I printed out the webpage, and I just compared my print out to what is now on the screen)

Unfortunately, the PDF file has the same thing on it too. :(

It looks like CC could soon excersise that "right", and end our cheap-assery. Hopefully they won't pull the plug before Sunday, when they are due to have more Wii consoles in stock and ready to buy... but I wouldn't put it past them.

USE IT WHILE YOU STILL CAN! :\

Yeah I'm looking at a digital print out I made of the coupon a few days ago and it didn't have that "reserves the right to" crap on it.

Same here. I'm getting my 360 tomorrow and hanging onto the receipt.

Good eye, OP. Thanks for the heads up.

Well, I printed off the prior version that didn't have the "reserves the right to" crap on it. Technically, can't I still use that until it expires, as long as I keep that particular print-off?

If not, looks like I'll pick up a HDDVD player this weekend and hold onto the receipt.

I wouldnt worry about it really, many times you will see that or anotehr disclaimer if the store no longer wishes to honor the coupon. THey can also use this as an excuse at a store to prevent you from buying certain things at a discount jsut by saying the coupn is no longer valid.......

Quoted for truth.

Pretty much every coupon/offer ever has a similar line printed at the bottom. Quit shitting youselves.

I was thinking about that too. It would seem to me as the only way around them deciding to pull the plug before the 3/31/07 expiration date... or as Ph8te mentioned, not wanting to honor it on a certain purchase. I could see them doing just that on the Wii.

And yes, CoffeeEdge, I know that they put that line on most coupons anymore... but in this case, it was something that was added AFTER the coupon was put out there. To me, that points to them having way more coupons redeemed than they expected or wanted... and them pulling the offer because of, what would be in their eyes, abuse of said coupon.

Any Circuit City employees out there care to comment on this one?
