Circuit City GBA special 5/26 - 5/30 short list

I found out today that the price listing for the GBA SP is in fact a misprint. However stores are going to deal with this on a case by case basis so your milage might vary indeed on this.

Alrightee then, if anyone needs a hard copy! ;-)

Ah . . . it's in Spanish too.
The OP said "Short List". Is there a long list?
Nope. It's just A short list as opposed to THE short list. :D

Might look into that GBA SP. Been wanting to upgrade for what seems like forever. So umm.... OP, could you just clear this up for me, is the GBA SP pricing in the ad a misprint? If so, then is that what you and DemomanTNA mean by YMMV?
Oh, and how's tetris worlds?
It's awful. It looks like tetris, but it doesn't play like tetris. You might think that a developer couldn't ruin this classic game, but Tetris Worlds is horrible. You can spin a block to prevent it from fallin........stupid.

I see....I'll stick with my GB Tetris then. Just wanted a tetris in GBA cart form. Thanx for the info.

I don't know where demomanTNA got that info. The ad is out there circulating as of 5 p.m. Wednesday here w/ the $59.99 price. Perhaps CC will post a "correction" at the door before opening in the morning.

:whistle2:?

The old Tetris beats Tetris Worlds because it has a battery save. Plain and simple.

Tetris Worlds has snazzier music and snazzier graphics but all that gets in the way of the gameplay. THQ really dropped the ball on that one.

Oh God, not one of those CC corrections. I once had one of those shot right at me right when I entered the door to get an item because it was a misprint and I was angry since I had to call them up and ask them and that they had told me that it was o.k., not to mention that I had to drive even further to get to the CC. Hopefully this isn't YMMV.

The web site for CC certainly doesn't match this amazing special price.

Where can this ad be found specifically either online or in print in the New York area? Thanks!

Just so you guys know this is a misprint and all store will have a disclaimer. You might still be able to get someone to do it but I doubt it. Your best bet is to try and price match at Best Buy or something like that.

Don't say that too loud. othergames (or whatever his name is) from the RE 4 for $17.99 thread might come in here and have a conniption (sp?). ;)

You should have good success getting other stores to PM this even if CC has disclaimers up and won't do it. I've PMed more obvious price mistakes than this.

Sears for example is generally great with PMs and gives the extra 10%. The only thing that might give you a problem is if they call CC to verify stock/price (rarely done) or if they say since it is for a bundle (includes free Mad Catz crap) they can't PM. But I think they'd give you the base SP for the $60 + 10%.

I picked up a copy of the ad at my CC. I am going to try to get EB to pricematch tonight or tomorrow. EB has pricematched for me in the past, and I have like $55 credit plus 2 in-store $10 vouchers for EB. Be like getting a free SP!

The correction to the ad was listed in today's (Thursday) South Florida Sun-Sentinal (Fort Lauderdale area), so I wouldn't count on getting it honored at CC. The price for the bundle is supposed to be $79.99. If anyone's in the market for a new GBA, I'd get the bundle with Mario & Luigi for $89.99 at Best Buy this weekend.

I was just at Circuit City and they had pamphlets everywhere mentioning the GBA SP correction. They were on the door, in the game aisle, on the game case, next to the playable GBA, and at every register. They went out of their way to make sure everyone in the store knew it.

The Toys'R'Us and Best Buy across the street wouldn't price match as they probably got word of the correction as well.

The CC ad looks pretty clear and even mentions the regular price and the savings, not like the usual misprints where there is just an incorrect picture. The CC website had the $59.99 price as well, so it seems strange that it really was a misprint.

Is Namco Museum or Simpson's Road Rage any good? I think I'll skip on Disney's Princess since it doesn't sound like a game a guy would want to play.
