Circuit City Online $4.99 Gaming Updates

Well, I went to CC on Sunday, and I was very surprised to see ATV: Quad Power Racing 2 and MX Superfly for the Xbox, still on the shelves! I got both games...:D

I also saw a few copies of NCAA College Football 2K3 for the Xbox, in the regular video game bin, not the $4.99 clearance sale bin. Does anyone know if the game is $4.99? I didn't have a chance to get a price check, while, I was there...

How the hell.. I could not have checked out any faster and both war of the monsters and time splitters 2 went out of stock at the final screen. Must not have had very many in the first place.
 
The fucking page didn't refresh for me!! I kept hitting f5 everything 3 fucking seconds. Oh well at least it was crap I missed, but damnit, it's the principle of the matter.
 
w00t!!! I finally got me some Legacy of Goku action!!! :p Missed out on Best Buy online deal, Missed out on Best Buy instore deal, missed out on Circuit City instore deal, and finally got it online.

Plus, I got me some War of the Monsters too. Thank you.

i kept hitting the refresh button every like 3 seconds (who am i kidding...every .25 seconds) and i have a fast as hell cable modem....it loved refreshing and loading the "closed" page within less then the blink of an eye...but when the site was finally updated, it took like 2 minutes for the damn thing to load....usually it would take 2 seconds...hmm...ITS RIGGED!

good thing i already own those games and good thing im up this early anyway

I feel your pain man, same thing happened to me, at least I was already up too and didn't really need any of those games, it still pisses me off though.
 
if it is going by that quick! I don't think I'll ever going to get a single game for cheap, ever! Or at least in the near future. War of monsters was definetly something I wanted.

I said I was a huge Oddworld fan. Good for the reviews if they don't like it, doesn't mean that everyone will hate it. The only way you can judge a gane is to play it for yourself. Since they don't hand out GBA demos everywhere, and there's nowhere to rent GBA games around here, I might have to bite the bullet and (gasp!) spend 5 dollars! Less than the price of a rental if Blockbuster did offer GBA games anyways. " :shock: "

They kind of do hand out GBA demos for every single GBA game, if you know where to look.

A good thing too, since I have about 20 GBA games, and not a stinker in the bunch.

I think you took that a little too personally. Personally I wouldn't touch a game that got trashed in every review. I could understand it if it was mediocre reviews but that's just too low to even consider and I'm also an Oddworld fan. It's your $5 though so your entitled to do what you want with it. I hope I'm wrong an you enjoy it.

Sorry 'bout that then, got a bit defensive. I didn't think the reviews sounded that bad, so I gave it a shot. Different strokes for different folks I guess. Thanks for the kind words, I misinterpreted what you said at first, so I apologize.

Has does anybody else have the problem of getting games in from Circuit City (online), and the cases are fine, except that the outside clear plastic (that holds the case's cover artwork) is *unbelievably* wrinkled? I don't have this problem w/ anybody else but Circuit City. This has happened for ALL games I've ordered from them; Metal Arms (GC), Beyond Good and Evil (GC), Counter Strike (XBox), and a few others. All my eBay, Half.com, EB, Best Buy, etc are all fine.

every box that i've ever received from cc (gba and pc games) has been smashed b/c they send it in an envelope! :evil:

yea, definitely. all the deals were from CAG :p ah well, luckily i'm not too anal about that kind of stuff. if it were a gift though, i would've returned them asap.
