I got pretty lucky also yesterday.Instead of finding Final Fantasy IV(which looked sold out) with the $16 pricetag I found it on Final Fantasy VI instead,when it rang up the women told me it was $32 but I told her to look at the tag and I only paid $18+.Now I just have to find another Circuit City with Final Fantasy IV ;/
 
this is PROBABLY ymmv --- but i picked up a copy of wario ware and a copy of monster hunter freedom today for 12.72, not the 16.96.

i bought a copy of wario ware and moto gp yesterday at a different cc and they were both 16.96.

hopefully this wasn't just a glitch!!!!

In CC ad this week, all games labeled with the 'Cool Deals' sticker are 25% off. That is the reason why for the discount. I thought from my previous experience with CC that there were only certain clearance games with that sticker, but hopefully it will cover all clearance items :)

you sure? I just got back from 2 CC and none of the games I bought had no "Cool Deals" sticker on them.

I have a question. In the Xbox section, Prince of Persia is listed. Could you please specifiy which Prince of Persia it is? Is it "The Sands of Time", "Warrior Within", or "The Two Thrones"? I really hope its "The Two Thrones". Its the only game missing in my Prince of Persia collection.
 
I also picked up MotoGP06 for $12.72. didn't have any at the Lakewood, CA store so I drove down to the Long Beach store (on Bellflower & Stearns) and they had a copy at the front of the rack. might be more but I only flipped through the first row, they don't seem to have any order to their stock at that store.

Wtf? I bought Valk last night for 17...did the cool deals just come into effect today? I so I am going to go get some money back....
 
I just got back from CC (in between grocery shopping with the wife) and picked up the following:

Valkryie Profile: Lenneth $12.72
Alien Hominid PS2 $9.74
Joytech PSP Clearcase $9.99

I was looking for Monster Hunter Freedom & Moto GP 06 to no avail. The location had plenty of Tales Of Legendia though (sounds like trade fodder for $12.72)

some of you might ge tlucky like i did, they marked FInal Fantasy VI for 16.96 in stead of IV. their mistake my gain, it still rang up at full price but it was stickered. :)

hey, sorry i have no idea which one it is. maybe someone else here knows, otherwise you may just have to go get them price checked.

This might be YMMV, as at one area CC, Moto GP 06 rang up for $59.99!, but another said it's $12.

Edit: Damn. I have this feeling in the pit of my gut that the 6 copies of Rocket Slime I saw on the shelf last week and the 2 of Phoenix are gone by now.

Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones (XBOX) is getting Hard to find new copy now. Target/Walmart/CC/BB long longer carry this $ucker (you still find PS2 version). I have Sealead copy if you wanted trade.
 
AARRG!!!

I've been watching GTA Trilogy (XBOX) for months now waiting on a price drop. It was down in the bottom of the glass case and my CC never gets hit when deals come. But of course when I went in Saturday, it was gone.

If anyone could throw me a bone I'd appreciate it.

the PS2 and 360 version got lowered last month, but it was still 29.99 for the XBOX. The Gamecube version dropped this month, but World Cup 2006 for the XBOX did not.
 
BUMPING this thread since I never saw it in the Deals section and keep seeing the March thread bumped up instead ;). Now I know there are many MORE games on clearance than I originally thought.

Pretty lame of them to do FF IV at $16.96 when they had it on clearance (briefly) for $8.96 last summer though. Glad I snagged it then...

Now, to go off and see if I can find $100 worth of stuff to use that coupon ;).

i found a moto gp 06 for 12.xx and lost magic for 9.xx the glass case worked in my favor for moto gp. saw the gta trilogy at another one but decided not to get it as i already own the double pack but its a good deal since its cheaper than buying san andreas to my collection alone.

Well, that's a little harder to determine. It seems to be anything under $19.99. I'm not positive about that - but I'm going to assume it doesn't work on regular $19.99 games. However, it is working on WAY more than just the "Cool Deals" games. All of those $16.96 and $12.96 clearance games are not "Cool Deals", yet they are all 25% off, so I'm guessing that there is some price point between $16.96 and $19.99 under which everything is 25% off.

In the past they have run these deals on just the "Cool Deals" games so I'm not sure why it works on other stuff this time.

Pretty good time to pick up Xenosaga 3 and Rocket Slime, then. I wonder if I can get it to stack with the BB $5 off any DS or PS2 coupons? They've been honoring the coupons so far at CC. I'd definitely get True Swing Golf for $13 minus 25% minus $5.

On an unrelated note, does anyone remember Taiko Drum Master (game and drum controller) being clearanced at CC? I found one today but the cashier said it scanned at $50?

Taiko is not clearanced at CC, dispite not being in most stores nor being replenishable.

I believe it is all games priced $16.99 or less will automatically scan 25% off. This promo was not working on Sunday, so if you purchased clearance stuff on Sunday check your receipt. If they did not manually adjust the price 25% off then you should stop back in the store to get the adjustment.

I just got back from CC and got

The 25% off was automatically taken off.

I'm just pissed that the CC wouldn't take the $5 BB coupon off of Yoshi Island:bomb:

I'm not sure that Yoshi is worth the $13.37 I paid for it. I'll probably end up returning it...:bomb::bomb:
