Has anyone attempted to get Rock Band Special Edition for $59.99 (or even better, $59.99 - 10% of the difference, basically another $11 off)? It would be an EXTREME YMMV, but it might be worth it to try.

Since Circuit City has Rock Band for PS3 and X360 advertised for $59.99, if you can find a braindead enough clerk at Best Buy or WalMart, you may be able to get them to pricematch the Special Edition version and not the game only version for $59.99.

Or buy it for $170, then take it to customer service for the 110% difference pricematch, which would make it $48.99 plus tax.

This would take massive cojones but it may be worth it.

The price for Assassin's Creed is cheaper than what Best Buy had it for, but, bah gahd, I wait for its inevitable price drop/sale to/of 19 dollars and 99 cents. ;x

Best Buy actually doesn't carry the GH II bundle anymore.

Did you mean the PS2 GH2 bundle? If you have the game and/or are mainly looking for a spare guitar, BB has the PS2 wireless for $50 (same price as CC GH2 bundle) or you could try pricematch to the CC wireless PS2 guitar/GH III PS2 package.

I actually wanted the bundle - both the game and guitar. But I pricematched this deal with my Walmart and lucky for me, an employee over there was nice enough to look for it and found three more bundles in the back.
 
yea good question where is that topic for next weeks ads..... oh and has anyone actually tried to do the price match thing mentioned above..... I want to hear some funny stories
 
Ok I finally bit on the bundle, kinda last minute. I had to opt for in store pickup since online is out of stock. Should go great with my GH3 bundle I bought a while back.
 
As I already had the PS2 GH2 bundle from way back, I'm trying to decide between another bundle at $49.99 (just for the extra wired guitar) or the Activision PS2 wireless guitar for $35 after PM and RZ cert at BB. Seems like a no-brainer but I'm a little concerned about some of the wireless guitar stories I've heard. I don't see many people complaining about the wired red Gibson SG that comes with the bundle.

Anybody have any thoughts on the PS2 red wired vs. wireless guitars? (the original PS2 wireless guitar, not the one that comes with the GH III bundle).
