CircuitCity.com to start selling pre-owned games

wasnt BB doing this as well i remember going to best buy and i ask a employe
about frame city killer and on the computer it said it was avilable sept 06 for 41.99. buy now that game is cancelled and i think the BB thin too

Best Buy was considering getting into the used market. I own a used game store, so we kept pretty close tabs on that story. They actually implimented used game sales in a couple of test markets.

Word was they dropped the project when they got some flack from a couple of the big publishers (who as a general rule are not very keen on the used game industry).

They may not have expanded the program, but BB has not cancelled the program. There are 2 stores here in IL that are still accepting and selling used games (Orland Park & Joliet).

Note that these games are NOT guarenteed to come with instruction manual, making any deals nigh worthless for the collectors here....
I think 99% of CAGs understand this, but what we can't understand is why the managers shouldn't be allowed or able to knock $5 from the price of a gutted game. I wouldn't mind buying a game like this if it is in minty shape. Sell it as "new" if you want but but throw us a bone and don't pretend it is the same as an unopened game.
You know, there IS an "Open/Shopworn" markdown code in the GameStop system... Most people just don't use it.
