I don't understand why this is sold out everywhere and is so hard to find?
I had ordered 2 Classic Controllers from CDUniverse.com using google check-out I got 2 for $33.17 shipped (Nice!)
But my pre-order wasn't quick enough, because they are on back-order. Ugh. Though, I got the e-mail today saying they are on backorder and I have until 1/14/07 to cancel or wait, because then it will be canceled for me.

So, because controllers go with the systems wouldn't they have shipped out double/triple the amount of controllers??

Though, I only have 2 VC games so it's not a big deal now. Just wondering why there seems to be such a shortage on Classic controllers, wii-remotes and nunchuks.

I've seen Classic's and a ton of wiimotes but not a lot of nunchucks. I better be able to get one at home cause my roomate is a dick and wouldnt let me take his controller home for t giving.
 
I haven't seen a classic controller since launch. I'd really like to have one before i get any VC games. Sure I could use the Cube controller, but theres just something about the 8-16 bit era games that just doesn't feel right modern controller styles.
 
I've yet to see an actualy classic controller anywhere. I was out at the mall yesterday, hoping to maybe snag a Wii for a friend of mine (to no avail of course) and while I was doing that I checked each place for Classic controllers. Found a good amount of Wiimotes, a few nunchucks, and no classic controllers. Oh well, the games I'll be getting when my Wii-Shop-Working-Wii arrives today or Friday are Donkey Kong, Sonic, and Bonk, all which can use the Wiimote anyway.

I'm not sure what part of Jersey you are in but Nintendo World in the city has loads of the classics.
 
How about those Hori digital pads? They are tough to find in store, but they can be found online fairly easily and are only $15.
 
I'm guessing at this point stores have been holding every new shipment of Wii stuff until Friday. If they have systems, they have accessories. Such a pain in the ass.

Personally I'm not waiting on a classic controller, but I would really love to have four remotes/nunchuks for my Friday party.
 
I'm thinking about heading to WM later today to try and find a classic controller. Anyone else think this may be an exercise in futility?

Nope. I found one yesterday at a Wal-Mart.
 
I have seen VCs and Wiimotes all over the place. If anyone is in Miami, the Target and Circuit City stores downtown have dozens and dozens of VCs and Wiimotes. Of course, it helps that the particular Circuit City store had it's grand opening three days ago. Though for the dozens of Wiimotes, VCs, and copies of Zelda you could find at Circuit City, they were sold out of Nunchucks, and an employee told me they sold out in one morning.
 
No VC controllers at WM. Hell, not a single piece of Wii software to be found.

When it looks like they ransacked the retirement home to employ the electronics section, I know I'm not gonna get any help either.

Should have done that earlier - don't have any need for them now, but it would save me wasting a GGC in the future. Ah well.
