Cleaning your Ears
Take hydrogen preoxide, pour some in the bottle cap, tilt head sideways, and pour it in...wait for 5 - 10 min, untill the crackling slows down/stops, and move head back into normal position, with a towell in hand to get the wax/hydrogen peroxide...it works like a charm
this method works for me. But I don't wait minutes.............that would be too much. I do it while I shower, pour it in wait a few seconds and rinse out with the shower stream. When done showering just dry and lighty stroke with a Qtip(to get the excess fluid out) and I'm done.

Jaykrue, I used your method of gently rotating Q-Tips in my ear... I did it a lot tonight, and I was very careful to be very gentile. Slowly but surely, wax started piling out of my ear!

I'm maybe 75% back to where I was the other night... In all likelihood, I'll wake up and it'll be crappy again... but since I'm now hearing a lot better twice in the last week or so, I think that I'm almost "over" this. Definitely gonna correctly use some ear drops, and I'll be good to go.

Thanks for the suggestions!

Sincerely,

I'm tellin' ya man. ;) Best, most economic, no frills cleanin'. Plus it uses stuff you'd normally have in the bathroom anyway and no need for peroxide. I take a shower every day and hasn't failed me yet. My mom checks my ears every year or so for ear infections/irritations that may happen from qtips but nothing's happened yet and there hasn't been a need to clean for quite some time (a lil more than a decade or so).
You are flushing your ear with a bulb syringe afterward, right?
Well the instructions read something like this:
"Insert 5-10 drops twice a day for three days. Any remaining wax can be flushed out with the ear syringe..."

I thought you were supposed to do it after the sixth time.

Anyway... I somehow managed to make the hearing in my right ear better by cleaning my left ear. The left ear still feels crappy, but I can definitely hear better. I don't know. I ran out of Q-Tips. We only have like 5 the other night. I guess I'll have to buy some more and do that gentle rotating thing since I've softened the ear wax up.

I can hear a lot better... it's just kind of lopsided. @_@

I use q-tips with baby oil (I have no idea why baby oil, it's just something my mom always used) to clean my ears out. If it's really that bad though get the home cleaning kit or get the doctor to flush it out, it feels funny as hell, but you'll feel like you have superhuman hearing for a while.

And for the love of god don't stick a candle in your ear.

EDIT: So you got the funky bulb syringe thingie? That's what my doctor said to get when I got mine cleaned if I wanted to do it at home.

Yeah it's just this big blue thing. It doesn't really seem to help, but I do know that when I'm holding the wax in my ear with a cotton ball (blocking it from getting out my ear) that a lot of it softens up, 'cause the white cotton swab ends up having ear wax on it...
